Women in Lai Chau are stepping up digital transformation from the grassroots level.

The Women's Union of Tan Uyen commune, Lai Chau province, recently held a conference to promote digital transformation and launched a pilot model of "Women's Union Branch for Digital Transformation" at the Women's Union Branch in Village 21. This is a practical activity to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, while also contributing to enhancing the digital capacity of female cadres and members in the area.

Attending the conference were Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Hanh, President of the Provincial Women's Union; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Uyen commune, along with a large number of officials, women's union members, and local people.

At the conference, delegates were introduced to the digital transformation model, participated in knowledge-building activities through question-and-answer sessions and exchanges, and received information and guidance on using online public services, online application skills, and accessing digital platforms to support their work and daily lives.

The Standing Committee of the Tan Uyen Commune Women's Union announced the decision to establish the "Digital Transformation Women's Union Branch" model in Village 21; introduced the model's Steering Committee, approved its operating regulations, and assigned tasks to its members. The model is expected to become a nucleus for disseminating digital knowledge and skills to women members and the community, contributing to the promotion of digital transformation at the grassroots level.

In their remarks at the conference, leaders of the Lai Chau Provincial Women's Union and local Party committees emphasized the important role of women in the digital transformation process; they also requested the commune-level Women's Union to continue promoting awareness campaigns, supporting members in applying digital technology in production and business, accessing public services and social welfare policies.

The launch of the "Women's Association for Digital Transformation" model not only contributes to innovating the Association's operational methods but also creates conditions for women to proactively access technology, improve their quality of life, and gradually build a digital community and digital citizens in the locality. This is also an important prerequisite for replicating digital transformation models in the commune in the future.
