Women in Tien Giang are stepping up the application of digital technology in business.

100 female officials and members in Tien Giang province have received training to equip them with knowledge and skills in applying digital technology to business activities.

On April 22nd, the Tien Giang Provincial Women's Union organized a community communication training course guiding the application of digital technology in business and sharing information on the successful startup models in the province.

This activity is part of the "Supporting Women's Entrepreneurship" project for the period 2017-2025 (Project 939).

Attending and speaking at the training session, Vice President of the Tien Giang Provincial Women's Union, Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien, informed: 2025 is the final year of Project 939, and also the year to summarize the 2017-2025 period. Therefore, activities in the year, especially the work of disseminating information and guiding the application of digital technology today, are even more important, demonstrating the efforts, determination, and support of all levels of the Women's Union in continuing to create a strong ripple effect for the women's entrepreneurship movement in the province.

Project 939 has created a great impetus, empowering thousands of women in Tien Giang province to confidently move forward on their journey of entrepreneurship, economic independence, and self-reliance.

At the training course, 100 female officials and members from across the province received useful knowledge in business activities from representatives of the Department of Science and Technology and officials of the Provincial Women's Union, such as: guidance on applying digital technology to business activities, sales technology, digital marketing skills, marketing, how to write promotional content for products, livestream sales; customer care, creating product information on QR codes, etc.

Members boldly exchanged knowledge and practical experience, asking each other questions and improving their skills. Through the training course, with its practical and useful content, it will contribute to helping members and women effectively apply their knowledge in selling and promoting products on digital platforms.

Reportedly, under Project 939, Tien Giang province has supported 732 women in starting businesses (more than 3.5 times the target); 13 cooperatives and 15 cooperative groups led by women have been established and developed sustainably, creating jobs for hundreds of female workers; 56 business skills training courses and over 320 vocational training courses have been organized, helping nearly 10,000 women improve their capacity and skills in the process of starting and developing businesses.

Notably, to date, 100% of the Women's Union branches have applied digital technology in their communication and activities; forming 19 women's groups utilizing Industry 4.0 technology.

Women's associations at all levels have organized hundreds of entrepreneurship festivals and competitions, with over 1,100 business ideas (including one project that won a national award). These figures not only demonstrate the sense of responsibility and persistent efforts of the associations at all levels but also clearly show the role and immense potential of women in local economic development in the digital age.
