At 2:00 p.m. on February 16, the Italian cruise ship Costa Serena docked at Phu Quoc International Passenger Port, bringing nearly 2,700 Asian passengers to Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province) for a vacation.

In particular, this cruise ship will anchor overnight in the coastal city and is the first ship to stay overnight in Phu Quoc, up to now.

Of the nearly 2,700 tourists on the Costa Serena cruise ship, about 70% are from Thailand, 18% are from India, the rest are from other Asian countries and a small number of Europeans.

Tourists go to Phu Quoc International Passenger Port to start their tour and vacation.

In addition, there are 1,200 sailors and crew members on board the yacht.

Phu Quoc city authorities organized an art performance to welcome tourists to the pearl island.

Some tourists will choose 4-5 star hotels and resorts in Phu Quoc city to stay overnight.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dieu, Director of Phu Quoc Dong Noi Tourism Company Limited, the authorized unit to welcome the ship, said that nearly 2,700 tourists will visit Vinwonders, Grand World and Hon Thom Cable Car.

Most tourists will stay on the cruise ship, a few rent 4-5 star hotels in Duong Dong area for their vacation.

The cruise ship will leave Phu Quoc International Passenger Port at 4:00 p.m. on February 17 to continue its journey.

The Costa Serena cruise ship is 209.2m long, 35.5m wide and has 13 floors.
