According to the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025, Phu Quoc City welcomed 281,659 visitors, an increase of 47% over the same period. In particular, the highlight of this year's holiday is the high number of international visitors. Accordingly, on many days, Phu Quoc welcomed 38-39 international flights, the number of international visitors reached 74,833, an increase of 44%.

The largest influx of Western tourists ever is taking place in Phu Quoc. Not only Taiwanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Singaporean tourists… choose the island city to enjoy the Lunar New Year, but also in markets such as Central Asia or Europe with Kazakhstan, Poland, the Pearl Island is also a sought-after name.

Accordingly, the southern area of the island is a bright spot, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors to visit, participate in entertainment activities and stay.

Mr. Dinh Gia Long - General Director of Paradise Land Phu Quoc said that the resorts invested by Sun Group and the mini hotel system in Hoang Hon Town all reached an occupancy rate of over 90% during the holiday.

According to a representative of Sun World Hon Thom, the number of visitors using the Sun World Hon Thom cable car service and shows has increased "unprecedentedly". "But when we arrived in Phu Quoc during the Lunar New Year, everything was more overwhelming than we imagined. We stayed at Sunset Town, experienced the longest cable car in the world and there were many shows here, especially 2 shows with fireworks every night, it was so bustling and crowded," she said.

"After considering Phuket, we chose Phu Quoc as the destination to experience the Asian New Year because there are direct flights and also because we were curious about this second most beautiful island in the world. When we arrived here, we regretted not going earlier. This island is really interesting" - Mr. Morgan, who flew halfway around the world to Phu Quoc, excitedly shared while lying down to sunbathe on the creamy white sand of Bai Kem, which is always crowded with Western tourists whether morning or afternoon.

Morgan shared that the attraction that attracts more and more international tourists to the island city is that it is rare for a tourist island to have a sumptuous menu of up to 6 shows per day, along with 2 nightly fireworks festivals for tourists to enjoy.
