'Greening' eTax Mobile

To date, in Gia Lai province, 46,288 business households have installed and used eTax Mobile to fulfill their tax obligations to the state budget. The amount of tax paid through eTax Mobile in September 2025 exceeded 27 billion VND, reaching over 96% of the total tax paid by these business households to the state budget.

Citizens can pay taxes through the eTax Mobile application.

Recently, the Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department has been actively promoting and disseminating information to citizens, business households, and enterprises about the application of eTax Mobile on mobile devices, aiming to facilitate tax compliance and promote digital transformation in the tax sector.

The eTax Mobile application, developed by the Tax Department (formerly the General Department of Taxation), offers many convenient features such as: registration and lookup of tax obligations; electronic tax payment anytime, anywhere; timely tax notification; and integration with commercial bank and e-wallet payments.

Taxpayers can simply download the application to their smartphones to conduct financial transactions with the tax authorities quickly and securely. The provincial tax authority has coordinated with banks and relevant agencies to promote communication and guidance on using eTax Mobile to business households, individuals, and enterprises. The application of this application contributes to saving time and travel costs, enhancing transparency, and modernizing tax management.

Mr. Van Cong Vu (128 Truong Chinh Street, An Nhon Dong Ward, Gia Lai Province) shared: “Previously, every time I paid taxes, I had to go to the Treasury or the bank, which took a lot of time. Since using eTax Mobile, I only need a few taps on my phone to complete the process. It's very convenient and transparent. Although there were some difficulties getting used to the application at first, with the dedicated guidance from tax officials, the application has become easy to use.”

Tax officials guide citizens on how to use the eTax Mobile application on their smartphones.

Mr. Nguyen Cong M. (Pleiku Ward, Gia Lai Province) said: “Because I often go to construction sites, I rarely have the opportunity to go to the tax office. With eTax Mobile, I can pay taxes and check my obligations anytime, even when I'm at the construction site. This makes my work much more convenient.” Not only does eTax Mobile provide convenience for individuals and businesses, it also helps reduce the workload for tax officials; resolving the inconvenience between tax collectors and citizens and businesses.

Mr. Pham Trung Thang, Head of Tax Office 2 - Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department, said: The implementation of the eTax Mobile application will help tax officials no longer have to go directly to each location to collect taxes; and eliminate the need for steps such as delegated collection. This will minimize inconvenience for individuals and businesses fulfilling their tax obligations. In particular, this application will address the issue of misappropriation of tax revenue from delegated collection.

With the convenience of the eTax Mobile application, the Gia Lai Tax Department is striving to expand its use to the people of Gia Lai province in the coming time. Mr. Tran Quang Thanh, Deputy Head of the Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department, affirmed: "The deployment of eTax Mobile is an important step in modernizing the tax sector, in line with the national digital transformation goals. We are focusing on disseminating information and providing guidance so that more and more people and businesses can access and effectively use this application."

Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department recommends that taxpayers, especially individuals, actively install and use the eTax Mobile application when fulfilling their land-related financial obligations to enjoy electronic conveniences and join hands with the Tax Department in achieving the goal of building a digital government and developing the digital economy in the province.
