'Greening' eTax Mobile

Up to now, in Gia Lai province, 46,288 business households have installed and used eTax Mobile to fulfill tax obligations to the state budget with the tax amount paid via eTax Mobile in September 2025 being over 27 billion VND, reaching over 96% of the tax amount that business households have paid to the state budget.

In recent times, Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department has been actively promoting and disseminating to people, business households and enterprises about the application of Electronic Tax on mobile devices (eTax Mobile), in order to facilitate the implementation of tax obligations and promote digital transformation in the tax sector.

The eTax Mobile application, developed by the Tax Department (formerly the General Department of Taxation), provides many utilities such as: registration, tax liability information lookup; electronic tax payment anytime, anywhere; timely tax notification receipt; integrated payment via commercial banks and e-wallets.

Taxpayers only need to download the application to their smartphones to be able to conduct financial transactions with tax authorities quickly and safely. The provincial tax has coordinated with banks, agencies and related units to promote communication and guidance on the use of eTax Mobile to business households, individuals and enterprises. The application of this application contributes to saving time and travel costs, improving transparency and modernizing tax management.

Mr. Van Cong Vu (128 Truong Chinh, An Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai province) shared: “Before, every time I paid taxes, I had to go to the Treasury or the bank, which took a lot of time. Since using eTax Mobile, I only need a few steps on my phone to complete. It is very convenient and transparent. Although at first, getting used to the application was difficult, but with the detailed guidance of tax officers, the application became easy to use.”

Mr. Nguyen Cong M. (Pleiku Ward, Gia Lai Province) said: “Because I often go to construction sites, I rarely have the opportunity to go to the tax office. With eTax Mobile, I can pay taxes and look up obligations at any time, even when I am at the construction site. This makes my work much more convenient.” Not only bringing convenience to individuals and businesses, eTax Mobile also contributes to reducing the workload for tax officials; solving the inconvenience between tax officials and people and businesses.

Mr. Pham Trung Thang, Head of Tax Department 2 - Gia Lai Province Tax said: The implementation of the eTax Mobile application will help tax officials no longer have to go directly to each place to collect taxes; do not have to perform steps such as collection authorization. Thereby, minimizing the inconvenience for individuals and businesses performing tax obligations. In particular, this application will solve the problem of appropriation of tax revenue from collection authorization.

With the convenience of the eTax Mobile application, in the coming time, the Gia Lai Tax Department will strive to "green" the application to the people in Gia Lai province. Mr. Tran Quang Thanh, Deputy Head of Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department affirmed: "The implementation of eTax Mobile is an important step in modernizing the Tax Department, in line with the goal of national digital transformation. We are focusing on propaganda and guidance so that more and more people and businesses can access and effectively use this application."

Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department recommends that taxpayers, especially individuals, when performing financial obligations on land, actively install and use the eTax Mobile application to enjoy electronic utilities, and join hands with the Tax sector to achieve the goal of building a digital government and developing the digital economy in the area.
