On the morning of December 26th, at Gia Lo village (Giang Ly commune), the People's Committee of Khanh Vinh district organized a program to reenact the traditional wedding ceremony of the T'rin ethnic group. This activity aims to restore and preserve the traditional cultural values of the T'rin people in the district and to serve community tourism activities.
The T'rin people's wedding ceremony is a ritual deeply rooted in their ethnic culture, reflecting their spiritual life, marital affection, and community bonds. However, due to the impact of modern life, many traditional customs and rituals in the T'rin wedding ceremony have gradually faded away. Therefore, Khanh Vinh district has undertaken the restoration of the T'rin wedding ceremony with the desire to preserve and introduce this cultural aspect of the T'rin people to the world. The program to revive the T'rin wedding ceremony takes place with traditional rituals, showcasing the community and family relationships of the T'rin people. Through the wedding ceremony, the people also have the opportunity to preserve and perform some traditional art forms such as call-and-response singing, ma la performances, and traditional musical instruments. The reenactment of the T'rin ethnic group's wedding ceremony offered everyone cultural performances and introduced the distinctive cuisine of the local people. In particular, the reenactment helped everyone better understand the T'rin people's custom of "sharing a bowl and drinking from the same cup," a beautiful expression of affection and care for one another.
