This year, with 845 hectares of lychee orchards, the total lychee production in the commune is estimated at approximately 7,500 tons. To date, people have harvested over 6,300 tons of fruit, reaching nearly 85% of the total projected yield. Of this, about 3,000 tons are exported to China, Japan, Canada, and the United States, while the remainder is consumed domestically.

People in Phuc Hoa commune harvest lychees in the morning to avoid the heat. |
Notably, this year's lychee yield is not as high as in previous years, but the selling price is high, averaging around 37,000 VND/kg; the total revenue from early-season lychees in the commune is estimated at over 270 billion VND.
A unique feature of Phuc Hoa is that some households have introduced new lychee varieties, cultivating them using safe technical procedures, resulting in high selling prices, with the highest reaching 150,000 VND/kg.
A prime example is the household of Mr. Ngo Van Cuong in Quat Du 2 village. Besides selling lychees at 150,000 VND/kg, his lychee orchard also won first prize in the "Most Beautiful Lychee Orchard in the Commune" competition. Mr. Cuong said: “Having grown and cared for lychees for export for many years, we have the experience to produce high-quality, beautiful lychees that meet market demands. This year, with over one hectare of lychees, my family harvested more than 10 tons of fruit, with a total value of over 400 million VND.”
Currently, farmers in the commune are focusing on harvesting the remaining lychee crop early in the morning to avoid the heat and ensure the quality of the product for consumers.
