Do Vinh Ward evacuated 1,100 households to safe shelters.

On the afternoon of November 20, Mr. Le Kim Hiep - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Vinh Ward said that by 3:00 p.m. the same day, the entire ward had evacuated 1,100 households, with 3,850 people from residential groups: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, Dac Nhon 1, Dac Nhon 2, Dac Nhon 3, Luong Cang 1, Luong Cang 2, Nha Ho 2, Nui Ngong and Lang Ngua out of vulnerable, flooded areas; at the same time, all equipment of Nhon Son Medical Station had been evacuated to a safe place.

Support the evacuation of people and property to safety.

The ward has also arranged 5 evacuation areas for the people; contacted Ninh Thuan General Hospital to promptly provide emergency care to a sick 60-year-old man; prepared enough food, instant noodles, and drinking water for the people in the concentrated evacuation areas. At the same time, it directed the residential groups to organize on-site duty to proactively prevent and combat floods; locked the para to prevent water from entering Yen Son field; planted stakes, stretched ropes, arranged barriers, signs, red flashing lights and guards to prevent people from passing through dangerous and deeply flooded areas; informed the people of the residential groups about the landslide situation in the North canal to proactively prevent it.

Do Vinh Kindergarten (Do Vinh ward) prepares ingredients to cook rice to help people in flooded areas.

To date, Do Vinh ward has had no human casualties; 16/18 residential groups were partially or completely flooded, including 3 residential groups that were completely cut off; about 350 hectares of rice, 20 hectares of crops, and 15 hectares of fruit trees were deeply flooded. The ward has evacuated 900 livestock and 260 poultry to safety.

Currently, water in residential areas in Do Vinh ward is receding very slowly, some areas are still deeply flooded. The locality continues to monitor weather developments and the flood discharge situation of reservoirs to focus on directing and responding promptly and effectively; continue to collect statistics and update the situation of property damage, as well as the support requests of households in flooded areas to provide timely support, especially food and essential necessities.
