Expressing gratitude to revolutionary predecessors; paying tribute to heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers, war veterans, former youth volunteers, frontline workers, and families with meritorious services to the revolution, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Duong Noi Ward Can Thi Viet Ha said that Duong Noi Ward currently has 431 policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Among them, there were 102 wounded soldiers, 22 sick soldiers, 47 resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, one resistance fighter captured and imprisoned by the enemy; 76 main relatives of martyrs including fathers, mothers, wives and children of martyrs, 170 families representing martyrs' worship and 13 families of revolutionary bases.
Implementing the ethics of "When drinking water, remember the source" and "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", the Party Committee, government and people of Duong Noi ward always determine that the work of gratitude and repayment is a sacred, regular and long-term task. In recent years, the ward has had many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services and their relatives, contributing to improving the quality of life and ensuring social security.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Duong Noi Ward organized the donation of 431 gifts, with a total amount of 301,700,000 VND to policy families and meritorious people. This is the heart and deep sentiment of the Party Committee, government, organizations, businesses and people in the whole ward, expressing gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of war invalids, sick soldiers and policy families.
“I hope that war invalids, sick soldiers, families with meritorious services, and people with meritorious services will continue to be shining examples, actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, mobilizing their children and relatives to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, and join hands to build Duong Noi ward to be more civilized, modern, affectionate, and sustainably developed,” emphasized comrade Can Thi Viet Ha.
At the program, 200 gifts were given directly at the hall; the remaining gifts will be given at home by ward leaders from now until National Day, September 2, 2025.
