HNP - On the morning of September 4, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Viet Hung ward solemnly held a ceremony to attach a signboard for the project to upgrade and renovate Ly Thuong Kiet High School to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Accordingly, the project was approved in principle by the People's Council of Long Bien District (formerly) in Resolution No. 75/NQ-HDND dated December 23, 2022. Immediately afterwards, the District People's Committee (now the People's Committee of Viet Hung Ward) directed the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board to urgently complete investment preparation procedures, survey, design, prepare documents, submit for appraisal and approval. On October 6, 2023, the District People's Committee issued Decision No. 4258/QD-UBND approving the project with the goal of building Ly Thuong Kiet High School to meet national standards, oriented to develop into a high-quality school, contributing to improving the quality of local education.

The project is built on an area of ​​over 16,300m², including: renovating the 3-storey head office building with an administrative - management room system; building a new 3-storey school building with 30 classes, functional rooms, and a hall; building a 2-storey physical building and 1 basement for parking; adding technical infrastructure, fire prevention and fighting system, football field, playground, garden, fence, gate, permanent house... The project has a total investment of 106.9 billion VND, of which construction and equipment costs are 93.7 billion VND.

During the construction process, the ward authorities directed strongly, requiring consulting, supervising and construction units to strictly follow the procedures, ensuring progress, labor safety, environmental sanitation and construction quality. With the synchronous participation, the project has now been completed and ready to be handed over to the school for use in time for the opening of the new school year 2025-2026.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Vinh emphasized: "The completion and putting into use of Ly Thuong Kiet High School not only creates a new, spacious and modern appearance for the educational facility, but also contributes to affirming the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels to the cause of educating people, meeting the learning needs of children in Viet Hung ward and Hanoi city in general."
