Negotiations between PSG and former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann broke down after weeks of negotiations.
According to L'Equipe , PSG will not sign a contract with Nagelsmann as previously rumored. The German coach was the leading candidate to replace Christophe Galtier to lead the team at Parc des Princes. However, the two sides could not find common ground on key terms after a two-week negotiation process.

The Ligue 1 champions must turn to a new approach, and the process needs to be accelerated as they look to stabilise this position ahead of the 2023-2024 pre-season tour.
Nagelsmann led Bayern to face PSG in the Champions League round of 16 last season. He helped the German club to an impressive 3-0 victory over two legs. However, not long after this achievement, Nagelsmann was fired by Bayern even though the club still had a chance to win the treble. The German club's decision was shocking and led to a crisis at the end of the season. Although they still successfully defended the Bundesliga, they failed in the National Cup and especially the Champions League. As a result, senior leaders such as Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic were both fired.
In parallel with finding a new coach, PSG once again got into trouble regarding the future of their number one star Kylian Mbappe. The French striker has just announced that he will not renew his contract, forcing PSG to sell him in this summer transfer window or risk losing him for free next year.
This time, PSG showed a tough stance when declaring that Mbappe only had two options: renew or leave this summer. However, that statement did not seem to scare the 24-year-old striker. Mbappe affirmed that he was ready to play for PSG next season and then leave freely.
