On March 17th, the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, announced a plan to inspect tutoring activities at public schools, tutoring centers, and tutoring businesses to ensure the rights of students and compliance with regulations on tutoring as stipulated in Circular 29.
Accordingly, from March 20th to April 15th, the District 1 Department of Education and Training will coordinate with the People's Committees of the 10 wards to inspect public educational institutions, tutoring centers, tutoring businesses, and life skills centers. The inspection will cover: compliance with operating licenses, operational management records, information disclosure, tutoring content, and fire prevention and control at tutoring facilities.
District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, will begin inspecting tutoring and extra classes starting March 20th.
The District 1 Department of Education and Training requires principals of primary and secondary schools to inform teachers involved in extracurricular tutoring within and outside the school about and comply with regulations on tutoring. They are also required to develop a plan for internal school inspections of tutoring management and to compile a list of administrators and teachers currently teaching at tutoring centers.
District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, will begin inspecting tutoring and extra classes starting March 20th.
Tutoring centers must publicly display their operating licenses and relevant guidelines; comply with regulations on tutoring; and provide relevant documents regarding the organization and operation of tutoring to the inspection team.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang, Head of the Education and Training Department of District 1, said that the inspection aims to strengthen coordination, enhance management responsibility, and regularly inspect and supervise the activities of tutoring centers in the area. Absolutely no organizations or individuals will be allowed to operate unlicensed tutoring services. Inspections will focus on handling violations and supervising the activities of licensed tutoring centers, ensuring they operate in accordance with regulations and the content of their licenses. Prompt and strict action will be taken against tutoring centers operating without licenses, those that do not comply with regulations, causing insecurity and disorder, and affecting the rights of learners.
