Vietnam-Philippines Strategic Partnership

General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife will pay a state visit to the Philippines on May 31 and June 1, 2026, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Following his official visit to Thailand and his state visit to Singapore, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, will pay a state visit to the Philippines on May 31 and June 1, 2026, at the invitation of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. of the Republic of the Philippines and his wife.

This is the first visit of the General Secretary and President of Vietnam to the Philippines, taking place in the context of the Philippines assuming the ASEAN chairmanship in 2026 and the two countries jointly celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (July 12, 1976 - July 12, 2026).

The visit contributed to strengthening trust and close ties between the high-level leaders of the two countries and brought the good cooperation between Vietnam and the Philippines to a new level.
