This is a humane initiative aimed at caring for the health of pregnant female workers and employees, and future generations.
As usual, on Saturday, Thai Nguyen Hospital A and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Union organized health check-ups, consultations, and reproductive health care services for female workers as part of the "Maternity Care Program for Female Workers and Employees in the Province, 2026-2030". Many workers in industrial zones throughout the province came for prenatal check-ups and received advice from doctors on maternity-related issues and pregnancy care.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, a garment worker at TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company in Song Cong I Industrial Park, shared: “We were warmly welcomed and guided, received prenatal checkups, 5D color ultrasounds with integrated artificial intelligence (AI) to determine if the fetus was developing normally..., and received dedicated advice from obstetricians on nutrition, health protection, pregnancy care, and reproductive health monitoring. This is extremely practical for me.”
From now until December 31, 2030, female union members and workers, especially pregnant workers in Thai Nguyen province, will receive three free reproductive health check-ups and consultations during their pregnancies.
This activity is organized every Saturday and Sunday (except holidays), making it convenient for workers and employees in industrial zones, factories, and production facilities who have limited time to participate. Thai Nguyen province encourages and requests the leaders of companies and businesses to arrange transportation to and from Thai Nguyen A Hospital for prenatal check-ups and consultations.
Thai Nguyen Hospital A has a leading prenatal and neonatal screening and diagnosis center in the region, with a team of skilled and experienced doctors, modern medical equipment; and reliable quality of examination, consultation, and reproductive health care services.
The medical staff and employees of Hospital A in Thai Nguyen demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, creating the most favorable conditions for female workers and laborers to receive prenatal check-ups, consultations, and access to quality, safe, and free maternal healthcare services three times during their pregnancy.
The requirement is that the implementation of coordinated activities must be specific, practical, in accordance with the law, and consistent with the functions and responsibilities of each party. This will help pregnant female workers understand the development of their fetus and how to care for their health during pregnancy so that their babies are born healthy.
Dr. Ha Hai Bang, Director of Thai Nguyen A Hospital, said: “Thai Nguyen A Hospital and the Provincial Labor Union organized this meaningful program to establish a regular and effective coordination mechanism in providing prenatal care for female union members and workers; to raise awareness, knowledge, and skills in self-care for reproductive health; and to create the most favorable conditions for female workers to access and improve the quality of reproductive health care, protecting the rights of female workers in the province.”
The Provincial Labor Federation directs grassroots labor unions to disseminate the content of the Program to all union members, workers, and employers; to encourage units and businesses to create favorable conditions for female workers to receive examinations and consultations on reproductive health care; to guide pregnant women to register for participation; and to coordinate with Hospital A in Thai Nguyen in the organization, logistics, and communication of the Program.
Thai Nguyen Hospital A provides each pregnant woman with a voucher for three free prenatal check-ups and consultations during her pregnancy; creates a personal prenatal care record; and pregnant women can contact the hotline number on the voucher to schedule appointments and receive an ID code for examinations, monitoring, and consultations. Pregnant women who are workers or union members in the province also participate in training courses, consultations, thematic talks, and receive newsletters and promotional videos to improve their knowledge of reproductive health.
According to the leaders of Hospital A in Thai Nguyen, in the coming time, the trade union system, especially the trade unions in industrial zones, clusters, companies, enterprises, and production and business establishments in the area, need to strengthen widespread dissemination of information about this program to women; at the same time, encourage pregnant women to go for check-ups and reproductive health consultations to enhance the protection of maternal and child health. Because this is a free, humane program for pregnant women and future generations, it meets the aspirations of trade union members and workers.
