(TN&MT) - The Politburo has transferred and appointed Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Director General of Vietnam Television (VTV), to the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On the morning of October 31st, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel matters. Comrade Le Minh Hung, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Organization Department, chaired the conference.
At the conference, Comrade Hoang Dang Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Department, announced Decision No. 1626-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024, of the Politburo, assigning and appointing Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Director General of Vietnam Television, to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee and to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Minh Hung affirmed that Comrade Le Ngoc Quang has received basic training, has held many positions at Vietnam Television; he is a capable and experienced cadre who always excellently fulfills his assigned tasks, and has been entrusted by the Politburo with the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee.
"Taking on the role of Provincial Party Secretary is a new job, therefore, Comrade Le Ngoc Quang needs to quickly adapt and grasp the work to work with the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee and the provincial leadership team to lead and direct socio-economic development, ensure security and national defense, and in the immediate future focus on overcoming the consequences of the recent floods," Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Le Ngoc Quang expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Organization Committee for entrusting him with the important responsibility of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee - a homeland rich in revolutionary traditions; he also pledged to build upon the achievements of the locality, strive to fulfill the assigned tasks well; and together with the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, promote the spirit of unity and solidarity, and continue to successfully implement the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Quang Binh Provincial Party Congress.
Mr. Le Ngoc Quang was born in 1974 in Thieu Duong commune, Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province. He previously held positions as Deputy Head of the News Department, Head of the News Department, Deputy General Director, and General Director of Vietnam Television. At the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the Party for the 2021-2026 term.
