Quang Ngai strives for the digital economy to account for at least 30% of its GRDP.

The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has just issued a plan for implementing administrative reform, improving governance efficiency and competitiveness associated with the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation for the period 2026 – 2030.

According to the plan, by 2030, Quang Ngai aims for a 99% satisfaction rate among citizens in handling administrative procedures; at least 80% of applications will be processed online, and 100% of procedures involving financial obligations will be paid online. The province also aims for the digital economy to account for at least 30% of GRDP, with an average GRDP growth rate of 10% or more per year during the 2026-2030 period.

A new aspect of the plan is to promote the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in state management. During the 2026-2027 period, it is projected that 50% of essential online public services will utilize AI to support citizens and process applications; and 100% of officials and civil servants will regularly use virtual assistants or smart digital tools in performing their duties.

Quang Ngai also aims to improve its ranking in administrative reform indicators and provincial competitiveness. By 2030, it strives to rank between 8th and 12th nationwide in the PAR INDEX and PAPI indices; and the PCI index in the top 5th to 10 nationwide.
