The third session of the 14th Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council is of great significance in assessing the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year; at the same time, discussing and resolving many major issues that directly affect people's lives in the context of the two-level government just operating. Therefore, the session received the attention and follow-up of a large number of voters in the province.

Mr. Mai Phuc Toan, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, answered an interview with reporters of Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Radio and Television.

Taking time to follow the proceedings of the Session, Mr. Mai Phuc Toan, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, expressed his excitement at the positive results of the province in the first 6 months of 2025. He assessed that the economic growth rate of 6.61% is a clear demonstration of the drastic and effective participation of the entire political system in the initial stage of operating the new government apparatus.

Mr. Mai Phuc Toan shared: The merger of two provinces is a big task, of a revolutionary nature, but we have successfully carried it out. After a short time of stabilizing the apparatus, the province has overcome initial difficulties, maintained stable production, ensured jobs for workers and promoted economic strengths. This is the foundation for people to feel secure and confident in innovation and development.

At Group 8 Tan Thinh, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, many voters expressed their confidence in the flexible and proactive management of the provincial leaders, especially in the direction after the merger. Social security policies continue to be maintained, especially the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services and poor households.

Mr. Ho Xuan Quang, an official, party member, and revolutionary contributor in Group 8, Tan Thinh, shared: At first, some people were concerned that the merger would disperse resources and affect the effectiveness of implementing major policies. However, in reality, thanks to the strong and responsible leadership from the province to the grassroots level, along with the synchronous participation of the entire political system - especially the police and military forces - and the solidarity of the people, the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was completed on schedule and for the right subjects. We are very confident and trust the current government apparatus.

In many residential areas in the northern communes and wards of Thai Nguyen province, many voters watched the meeting on television and had high expectations for the contents discussed. In group 5A, Bac Kan ward, voter Pham Van Nhan (born in 1941) expressed concerns about the contract labor policy under Decree 111.

Mr. Nhan said that most of those who work in jobs such as cooking, driving, security, clerical work, etc. have been working for decades, and he hopes the province will have reasonable policies so that they can continue working or receive appropriate support to stabilize their lives.

Along with proposals for support in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, many opinions also expressed interest in policies for developing tea trees, one of the main crops in the locality. Ms. Duong Thi Thu Hang, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tan Cuong Commune, said: Developing tea trees is identified as a key direction in the target of the Resolution of the Tan Cuong Commune Party Congress. At this session, the Provincial People's Council approved mechanisms and policies to support the development of the tea industry, creating conditions for the locality to effectively exploit its existing potential and advantages.

Cooperatives in the province also highly appreciated the timely and practical policies issued at the Provincial People's Council meeting. These policies not only motivate people to confidently stick with tea plants but also contribute significantly to the formation of stable raw material areas, improving the quality and value of Thai Nguyen tea products.

If timely support is provided, people will feel secure in sticking with tea plants, creating conditions for the Cooperative to build a stable raw material area, promoting organic tea production. This helps improve the quality of Thai Nguyen tea products and creates a sustainable foundation for the Cooperative and businesses to accompany the people.

Not only the direct producers, many voters in the province also pay close attention to the tea development policy. Voter Nguyen Quan, 97 years old, in group 11A, Duc Xuan ward, shared: Some northern localities already have famous products such as Bang Phuc Shan Tuyet tea, Don Phong tea, My Phuong tea... If these tea regions are invested in a systematic and synchronous manner, it will certainly contribute to consolidating and enhancing the Thai Nguyen tea brand.

The heartfelt opinions from voters across Thai Nguyen province demonstrate a sense of responsibility, deep concern and increasingly strengthened trust in the decisions of the Provincial People's Council. It is not only a consensus, but also an expectation of an active government, close to the people, for the people.

With the drastic participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the correct and accurate resolutions passed at the Session will soon come into effect, contributing to improving people's lives and promoting socio-economic development, especially in areas with many difficulties after the merger.
