Social security support, development motivation

Policy credit in the province in recent years has become a solid "support" for the poor and vulnerable groups. Capital sources have been increasingly expanded, creating conditions for implementing many practical programs, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction and ensuring social security.

Grandfather
Mr. Hoang Dinh Nhuan, Deputy Director of the Social Policy Bank of Thai Nguyen province, introduced the STEM Loan Program.

Not only stopping at the student loan program, policy credit in Thai Nguyen is increasingly expanding, covering many vulnerable groups. By the end of August 2025, the total capital reached VND 8,970.86 billion, an increase of VND 41.1 billion compared to the previous month and VND 364.5 billion compared to the end of 2024.

Of which, central capital accounts for the largest proportion with 7,538.9 billion VND (84.04%), affirming the Government's attention and priority for local socio -economic development. This is the "main capital flow", creating the foundation for key, long-term programs.

The capital entrusted from the locality reached 489.1 billion VND (5.45%), although not high, but it shows the active participation of the Party Committee and the government in accompanying the poor and vulnerable households; at the same time, it is flexible and timely supplemented for specific and practical programs. The mobilized capital for interest rate compensation reached 942.7 billion VND (10.51%), contributing to diversifying the policy "capital flow", reducing the budget burden and encouraging community participation.

The harmonious combination of central, local and social capital channels has helped policy credit in Thai Nguyen to be both stable and proactive, ensuring service to the right subjects and constantly expanding coverage.

In August 2025, the loan turnover of the Social Policy Bank system of Thai Nguyen province reached 201.1 billion VND, with 3,810 customers. Accumulated from the beginning of the year, 1,795.9 billion VND has been disbursed to 27,898 customers. The total outstanding balance of the programs reached 8,955.7 billion VND, completing 86.7% of the yearly plan and growing by 4.22%.

Some programs with notable increases include: Loans for job creation, maintenance and expansion increased by VND220 billion; loans for clean water and rural environmental sanitation increased by VND309 billion; loans for STEM students initially disbursed VND397 million.

These results show that Thai Nguyen's policy credit picture not only expands in scale but also has a reasonable structure and diversified programs. This is a clear demonstration of the key role of policy credit in linking social security goals with sustainable economic development.

Policy credit in Thai Nguyen is not only a “midwife” helping poor and disadvantaged households to rise up, but also gradually expanding to new areas such as supporting STEM students - the key human resources of the future. The growing capital scale, increasingly reasonable source structure and improved disbursement efficiency have affirmed that policy capital is a solid foundation, contributing to the implementation of social security goals, sustainable poverty reduction and promoting socio-economic development.
