Coastal areas of Quang Ninh - Hai Phong provinces have storm surges of 0.5-0.8m. There is a high risk of landslides on sea dykes, sea embankments, and destruction of aquaculture areas and ships anchored along the coast due to strong winds, rising sea levels, and large waves.
On land, from the morning of September 25, coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8, areas near the storm center will have winds of level 9-10, gusting to level 12; areas deep inland in the northeast will have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8.
From the night of September 24 to the end of the night of September 26, in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, there will be heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall of 100-250mm, locally over 400mm. Beware of heavy rain causing urban flooding. Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. In addition, due to the influence of the wide storm circulation, it is necessary to guard against the risk of thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.
In Khanh Hoa, according to the news at 3:30 p.m. on September 23, in the evening and night of September 22, in Khanh Hoa province, there were showers and thunderstorms in many places, some places had very heavy rain. Total rainfall from 1 p.m. on September 22 to 1 p.m. on September 23 was generally 30-80mm, some places were higher such as: Thanh Son (103.2mm), Van Binh (102.3mm).
It is forecasted that in the afternoon and evening of September 23, Khanh Hoa province will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, and locally higher. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Locally heavy rain can cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
