Mr. Tran Quang Hung was assigned as Acting Director of the Information Technology Center.

On the afternoon of September 23, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced the Decision on personnel work at the Information Technology Center. Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, member of the Standing Committee of the Ministry's Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology chaired the ceremony.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong presented the decision and flowers to congratulate Mr. Tran Quang Hung.

Pursuant to Decision No. 2828/QD-BKHCN dated September 22, 2025, the Minister of Science and Technology decided to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Intellectual Property, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Information Technology Center.

At the same time, in Decision No. 2829/QD-BKHCN dated September 22, 2025, the Minister of Science and Technology assigned Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Information Technology Center, to hold the position of Acting Director of the Information Technology Center until further decision.

Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Quang Hung said that in the context of comprehensive digital transformation, the Information Technology Center is not only a unit operating technical systems but must become the "digital infrastructure" of the science and technology sector - a place to create platforms, data and tools for state management, policy making and strategic decision making. To realize this goal, Mr. Tran Quang Hung pledged to work with the Information Technology Center to act together according to the four mottos set by the Ministry: "Setting an example - Discipline - Focus - Breakthrough".

Mr. Tran Quang Hung hopes that all staff of the Information Technology Center will unite, be unanimous, and join hands in action, so that everyone feels proud to contribute to making the Ministry of Science and Technology a bright spot in the Government's digital transformation, while creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the science , technology and innovation ecosystem.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that Mr. Tran Quang Hung is a young, experienced officer with a long working and attachment period in the industry, well-trained, with in-depth expertise in information security, dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly responsible.

The Deputy Minister said that among the assigned tasks, the Information Technology Center is undertaking many important tasks assigned by the Government and the Central Steering Committee on Resolution 57 to the Ministry of Science and Technology. Specifically, it includes: building a national digital platform and a shared digital platform for the science and technology sector; upgrading and perfecting information technology infrastructure; ensuring connection and sharing with the National Public Service Portal and the National Population Database to serve the settlement of administrative procedures and the provision of public services; and at the same time, implementing tasks serving digital transformation and implementing Project 06 of the Government at the Ministry.

All of these tasks must be basically completed before December 30. This is not only the responsibility of Mr. Tran Quang Hung, but also the common task of the entire Information Technology Center and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

To ensure progress, the Deputy Minister requested Mr. Tran Quang Hung to urgently strengthen the staff, review the work and develop a specific implementation plan; at the same time, he noted that in the current context, the deployment of information technology and digital transformation at the Ministry cannot be undertaken by the Information Technology Center alone, but requires close coordination and support from relevant units, especially in connecting, sharing data and raising staff awareness of the benefits of digital transformation.

The Deputy Minister requested Mr. Tran Quang Hung to proactively research and coordinate with agencies and units under the Ministry and all officers and employees of the Information Technology Center to quickly catch up, urgently deploy and successfully complete assigned tasks./.
