High determination, great effort to break through strongly Sam Son City People's Committee held a conference to deploy socio -economic development tasks and ensure national defense and security in 2025.

With the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity and efforts of the Party Committee, government, business community and people of all walks of life, Sam Son City has gone through the challenging year of 2024 and achieved many important achievements in all fields. Notably, 31/31 main targets were completed and exceeded the plan; the growth rate of production value ranked 2nd in the province (12.3%); the scale of production value ranked 5th in the province. The number of tourists reached 8.86 million; total mobilized development investment capital in the area reached 12,000 billion VND; State budget revenue exceeded the assigned estimate; the city ranked second in the province in terms of competitiveness index (DDCI)...

Based on the achieved results and clearly identifying opportunities and challenges, Sam Son City has set high-level goals for 2025 - a year of special importance, determining the implementation results of the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, term 2020-2025 and the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021-2025). Accordingly, on December 12, 2024, the City Party Executive Committee issued Resolution No. 14-NQ/TU on directions and tasks for 2025. The Resolution sets out 10 economic targets, notably the growth rate of production value reaching 12% or more; total number of tourists reaching over 9.68 million... At the same time, 10 social targets are set out; 6 targets on planning, construction, urban and natural resources - environment; 1 target on security - order; 2 targets on Party building.

In order for the tasks and solutions set out in Resolution No. 14-NQ/TU to be quickly implemented in practice, the City People's Committee held a conference to deploy the tasks of socio-economic development and national defense and security in 2025 in early January 2025. At this conference, the city leaders clearly grasped the spirit of determination and drastic direction and administration of Party committees and authorities at all levels in organizing the focused, key and effective implementation of the goals, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development and national defense and security in 2025. At the same time, an action program was developed that clearly identified the key directions and administrations of authorities at all levels; as well as assigned specific tasks to agencies, units and localities in the area.

To accelerate, make breakthroughs and strive to complete all goals and targets in 2025, Sam Son City focuses on effectively implementing programs, projects, plans and concretizing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies. In particular, the focus is on the tasks under the Action Program of the Provincial People's Committee to implement Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated November 26, 2021 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on building and developing Sam Son City to 2030, with a vision to 2045. At the same time, focus on leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, development investment, and State budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025.

Clearly identifying the meaning and importance of the "Revolution of streamlining the apparatus", the City People's Committee will focus on directing the review and development of a plan to rearrange the apparatus "Refined - Lean - Strong - Effective - Effective - Efficient" in accordance with the direction of the Central and the province. Prepare well for the election, consolidation and arrangement of cadres after the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; promptly resolve the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees after the rearrangement. In particular, strengthen discipline and administrative discipline, enhance the responsibility of leaders and cadres, civil servants and public employees in performing public duties. At the same time, promptly screen and replace those who are weak in capacity, violate discipline, public ethics, professional ethics, have no prestige or have low prestige with the people; encourage and protect dynamic, creative people who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good.

Tourism is the locomotive of the city's socio-economic growth, therefore, continuing to innovate tourism service management in the direction of assigning specific tasks, clearly defining people and responsibilities in implementing tourism service management plans is identified by the city as a key task. Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations. Continue to diversify tourism products, focusing on implementing sea tourism festivals, street Carnival festivals, flower festivals, and Love - Hon Trong Mai festivals. At the same time, strengthen the organization of new events and festivals such as kite festivals on the beach campus, light festivals, food festivals, organizing exhibitions and parades of large-displacement motorcycles, vintage cars, etc.

Along with the economy, the city also focuses on continuing to promote the application of science - technology and digital transformation in production and business activities. At the same time, comprehensively and synchronously develop culture - society; effectively implement programs, projects, poverty reduction policies, social security policies, regimes and policies for people with revolutionary contributions and ethnic and religious policies... Along with that, the city also focuses on drastically and effectively implementing the Party's regulations and the State's laws on preventing and combating corruption, negativity, practicing thrift and combating waste. Strengthening the direction of consolidating national defense - security associated with socio-economic development and natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue. Promoting the work of building a strong, comprehensive, safe and mastered foundation associated with the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations...

The achievements in 2024 have had a widespread impact on Party committees, authorities, business communities and people of all levels. Hopefully, this will be the basis for the city to be more determined and make greater efforts to successfully complete the goals and tasks of 2025. From there, it will create a foundation for Sam Son to develop faster and more sustainably in the new period.
