Geely launches Galaxy A7 EM-i with a battery life of up to 2,100km for only 363 million VND.

The Geely Galaxy A7 EM-i boasts a combined driving range exceeding 2,100 km, a high-tech interior, and an expected price starting from just 363 million VND.

Geely has officially unveiled its all-new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sedan, the Galaxy A7 EM-i. This is the company's first model developed based on the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) electrification platform.

The new 2025 Galaxy A7 EM-i sedan marks the debut of the next-generation powertrain called Geely EM AI Super Hybrid 2.0, previously known as Leishen or NordThor Hybrid 2.0.

Within the expanding Galaxy product line, the A7 EM-i is positioned between the Galaxy L6 and Starshine 8, targeting young, modern customers who are interested in technology and energy efficiency. This model will also be a direct competitor to the BYD Seal 06 DM-i and BYD Qin L.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A7 EM-i is equipped with a 1.5L gasoline engine (code BHE15-BFN) combined with a P3 electric motor for a total power output of up to 175kW (~235 hp). This hybrid sedan can accelerate from 0–100km/h in 7.1 seconds, reach a top speed of 190km/h, while fuel consumption in low battery mode is only 2.67 liters/100km (according to CLTC standards). Notably, the engine's thermal efficiency reaches 47.26%, a class-leading figure.

Customers can choose from three different LFP battery versions with capacities of 8.5kWh, 18.4kWh, and 18.99kWh, offering pure electric ranges of 55, 70, 120, and 150km respectively, depending on the configuration. With the support of the EM-i platform and a real-time intelligent energy management system, the vehicle can achieve a total combined driving range of over 2,100km on a single full charge and refueling.

The Galaxy A7 has overall dimensions of Length x Width x Height: 4,918 x 1,905 x 1,495 (mm), with a wheelbase of 2,845mm, providing a more spacious interior. The car is equipped with 19-inch wheels and Continental 235/45 R19 tires, and integrates multiple external cameras to support its intelligent autonomous driving system.

The A7 EM-i's cockpit shares a similar design with its "sibling" Starshine 8, featuring a 15.4-inch floating central screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and a two-spoke steering wheel. The car runs on the Flyme Auto operating system, supporting Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, ICCOA, Flyme Link, OTA updates, AI-powered scene recognition, and adaptive energy management.

The center console is neatly arranged with the gear shifter mounted on the steering wheel, wireless charging, a hidden storage compartment, and physical control buttons. The entertainment system includes a 16-speaker Flyme Sound system, a 16.6-inch HUD, a panoramic sunroof, and 256-color ambient lighting. The rear seats are designed to fold down in a 40/60 ratio, expanding the luggage compartment capacity from 535L to 988L.

Premium features include heated and ventilated front seats with integrated speakers in the headrests and up to eight massage modes. The rear seats offer ample 550 mm of headroom and recline up to 120 degrees. Geely has not yet announced the price of the Galaxy A7, but it is expected to be in the range of 100,000 - 130,000 yuan (approximately 363 - 472 million VND).
