Coach Cristiano Roland and his team had a 6-0 victory over U16 Singapore in the opening match, then won 14-0 against U17 Northern Mariana Islands, 2-0 against Hong Kong (China), 4-0 against Macau (China) and 4-0 against U17 Malaysia.

In particular, the big win against U17 Malaysia - a direct competitor for the next round and having won the previous 4 matches, showed the great strength and potential of young Vietnamese players.

At this tournament, U17 Vietnam received many compliments from fans for their beautiful coordination and the appearance of many promising players.
