Coach Cristiano Roland and his team had a 6-0 victory over U16 Singapore in the opening match, then won 14-0 against U17 Northern Mariana Islands, 2-0 against Hong Kong (China), 4-0 against Macau (China) and 4-0 against U17 Malaysia.

In particular, the big win against U17 Malaysia - a direct competitor for the next round and having won the previous 4 matches, showed the great strength and potential of young Vietnamese players.

VHO - The Vietnam U17 team has officially passed the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers after a resounding 4-0 win over Malaysia U17 in the final match of Group C, taking place tonight, November 30, in Hanoi .

With the achievement of passing the 2026 AFC U17 Qualifiers, the national U17 team is also the sixth Vietnamese football team to qualify for the Asian Finals after the Vietnam U23 team, the men's Futsal team, the Vietnam women's team, the women's U17 team and the women's U20 team.

I am a very happy coach. My job is to teach and show the way for them. And they have done an excellent job. They are really great. All my players deserve to be congratulated,” coach Cristiano Roland expressed his pride and happiness at his players’ performance.
