Cristiano Roland's team won 6-0 against Singapore U16 in their opening match, followed by 14-0 victories against Northern Mariana Islands U17, 2-0 against Hong Kong (China), 4-0 against Macau (China), and 4-0 against Malaysia U17.

In particular, the resounding victory against U17 Malaysia – a direct competitor for a spot in the next round and who had won 4 previous matches – demonstrates the great strength and potential of the young Vietnamese players.
