The RedMagic 11 Pro was found to be automatically activating high-performance mode during benchmark tests, causing scores to increase by up to 24% and resulting in its removal from the 3DMark rankings.

The RedMagic 11 Pro has recently faced significant controversy after being removed from 3DMark's performance rankings by UL Solutions for violating testing regulations.

According to internal testing results, this device is capable of automatically recognizing benchmark applications and activating the high-performance "Diablo" mode to optimize scores.

To clarify, UL Solutions conducted tests with two versions of 3DMark, one of which was renamed to avoid being identified as performance benchmarking software.

The results showed a significant difference, with the machine scoring up to 24% higher in the official version compared to the "anonymous" version, indicating deliberate optimization behavior.

UL Solutions emphasizes that high-performance modes are not prohibited, but must be actively activated by the user rather than automatically running upon detection of a test.

Nubia's response stated that this was simply an option to give users better control over their device, but did not explain the automatic mode switching without user intervention.

Besides the scoring issue, the "Diablo" mode has also been reported to cause overheating and shutdowns during prolonged use, raising concerns about hardware stability and security.

This isn't the first time the smartphone industry has faced a similar scandal, with many companies like Huawei and OPPO previously being found to have optimized performance for benchmark tests.
