Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Do Son District People's Committee Tran Khac Kien emphasized: Do Son is proud to be a land rich in revolutionary traditions, associated with many historical "red addresses". A typical example is Ben Nghieng - National Monument, which marks the moment when the last French colonialists withdrew from Hai Phong , marking the complete victory of the resistance war against French colonialism. At the same time, Ben K15 - a special National Monument, is the departure point of legendary unnumbered ships, providing human and material support to the South, contributing significantly to the great victory of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
Emerging from the flames of war, promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, Do Son today carries within itself the spirit of a land rising to mastery, affirming its position as an attractive "four-season destination".
In 2025, with the goal of welcoming 5 million tourists, Do Son district is focusing all resources to deploy and accelerate the progress of key projects in the area, in order to soon complete and put into operation to serve the people and tourists. Notable among them is the project to expand Ly Thai To street, complete the connecting road from the coastal road to Van Bun intersection, contributing to the completion of the traffic infrastructure system.
At the same time, the district actively implements the digital transformation program, applying information technology in tourism management and development; promotes state management, diversifies tourism products, improves the quality of human resource training; strengthens propaganda, promotion and tourism promotion, bringing the image of Do Son closer to domestic and international tourists.
The 2025 Tourism Festival with the theme "Do Son - Four-season destination" takes place from April 27 to May 4, bringing a series of rich and attractive activities.
The highlight of the event is the special art program “Do Son – Four Seasons Destination”, vividly recreating important historical milestones, depicting the proud development journey of the steadfast land of Do Son – from the glorious past to the flourishing present. The program also expresses love and pride for the homeland’s sea and islands, while spreading the vitality, cultural identity and characteristics of the Do Son – Hai Phong sea area.
Through art and tourism activities, the Festival sends to domestic and international friends a message about an attractive, friendly, and hospitable Do Son - a four-season destination welcoming visitors from all over the country and the world .
The art program within the framework of the 2025 Tourism Festival "Do Son - Four Seasons Destination" was elaborately and magnificently staged, bearing the mark of culture - history - modernity.
The opening is a unique art scene, showing the image of Do Son - the land where heaven and earth meet, where the waves and winds blow, with friendly, sincere and generous people. Next is the reportage "Do Son - 70 years of heroism and development", recreating the proud journey of the heroic land, from the heroic history to the strong transformation today. Those achievements are not only the efforts of previous generations, but also the driving force for Do Son to continue to reach out, affirming its position as a modern, attractive and sustainably developing tourist destination. The art program is divided into 02 chapters: Chapter I: Do Son - 70 years of heroism and development; Chapter II: Do Son - Four-season destination. Closing the program is a vibrant electronic music performance, bringing a youthful, modern atmosphere, connecting emotions and creating a strong impression in the hearts of the audience and visitors.
In addition to the Art Program, the 2025 Tourism Festival "Do Son - 4 Seasons Destination" also has the Dragon Hill Food Festival at the Fame Square, Dragon Hill International Tourist Area taking place from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from April 30 to May 4, 2025. There will be 100 booths with famous food brands and specialties from many provinces and localities across the country; gift and souvenir booths promoting local cultural images. At the Dragon Hill Food Festival, free art performances will be held in the evenings to serve the people and tourists.
The Tourism Festival is an annual activity organized by Do Son district, aiming to honor and promote the image and tourism products, contributing to the development of Hai Phong tourism in general and Do Son in particular, worthy of the role of a tourism gateway of the country's major seaport city. The event is not only an opportunity to strengthen the connection and cooperation in tourism development between Do Son and other localities, but also contributes to promoting the potential, building the local tourism brand, attracting tourists, creating new development momentum. Thereby, gradually affirming tourism as a key economic sector, playing an important role in the socio-economic development of Do Son district and Hai Phong city.
