Tan Son Nhat Airport is expected to welcome 130,000 passengers on the peak day of September 2.

During the peak of the September 2 holiday, Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to serve an average of 125,000 passengers per day, an increase of about 6% compared to the current level. Airlines have completed the transfer of operations to Terminal T3 and are preparing plans to increase flights.

According to statistics from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, during the peak period of September 2 (from August 30 to September 2), the total number of flights per day is expected to be an average of 730 departures and arrivals (430 domestic flights and 300 international flights), an increase of about 6% compared to the current flight schedule (690 flights/day), focusing on increasing domestic routes.

Specifically, the average number of visitors per day is expected to be about 125,000 (75,000 domestic visitors, 50,000 international visitors), an increase of about 6% compared to the current number of visitors (118,000 visitors/day).

In particular, on the two peak days of August 30 (domestic departure peak) and September 2 (domestic arrival peak), there are expected to be 750 flights with 130,000 passengers.

Up to now, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has coordinated carefully with airlines and units operating at the airport to complete the transfer of domestic flights of airlines including: Vietnam Airlines , Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines to Passenger Terminal T3. Domestic flights of VietJet Air are still operated at Passenger Terminal T1.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued a document requesting units in the aviation industry and airlines to ensure passenger service during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Specifically, Vietnamese airlines closely monitor the situation of booking and ticket sales to promptly adjust operating plans, add and increase flights on routes with high demand, especially routes to/from Hanoi in the days before and after the holiday.

Airlines proactively coordinate with localities and units in the tourism industry to develop promotional programs and aviation-tourism package products associated with political -cultural events to diversify passenger choices and stimulate tourism-transportation during the holidays; promptly notify the plan to increase flights to airports and aviation service providers to proactively unify and arrange sufficient service resources, operating schedules, and flight increase plans.

Airlines prepare resources to ensure maximum exploitation of the capacity of their fleet and aviation staff (pilots, flight attendants, technicians, etc.); strictly implement legal regulations on domestic air transport prices, sell tickets within the price range and price policy of the airline; strictly control ticket sales activities of agents, ensure prices are in accordance with regulations, etc.
