Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ) said that to ensure medical work to serve the celebration of the country's important holidays; the Ministry of Health coordinates with the Hanoi People's Committee to develop plans and solutions to respond to epidemic situations; ensure environmental hygiene and clean water quality for domestic use to serve the celebration, parade, and march; inspect and supervise food safety at food suppliers and restaurants and hotels serving the above events.
In particular, the Ministry of Health coordinates with the Hanoi People's Committee, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security to develop emergency plans for disaster and mass emergency situations. In particular, the Ministry of Health mobilizes hospitals, medical examination and treatment facilities, etc. to participate in emergency response; promptly identify the cause, origin, and promptly handle according to regulations, limiting the consequences...
Notably, the A80 event had a large scale and number of participants, so the coordination and collaboration between units, emergency teams, transportation, locations, and emergency vehicles all had to be calculated in detail.
Specifically, the route of the parades and marches will be determined based on which the health sector will closely coordinate with local functional units to grasp the situation and estimate the number of people watching the parades and marches. There will be mobile medical teams in medical tents to ensure that when people have health problems that require simple emergency care, the medical teams will immediately perform the task or guide the support force to take people to the nearest medical facility if the medical tents cannot handle the situation. The Ministry of Health requires hospitals under the Ministry of Health and hospitals in Hanoi to arrange medical teams on duty at the hospital; prepare adequate medicine, equipment, ambulances, and beds to be ready to receive emergency treatment for patients when requested.
The Health Department recommends that people participating in A80 commemorative activities, especially on the day of the parade, should strictly follow the recommendations such as: For the elderly, those with one or more underlying diseases, should find suitable locations to watch the parade, parade or stay home to listen to the radio, watch TV. If you are healthy enough to go out, you should drink enough water, have items to protect you from the rain and sun. When you feel signs of declining health, ask for support, try to leave crowded places early, and proactively ensure your health in all situations.
Dr. Luong Duc Dung, Head of the General Planning Department of Xanh Pon General Hospital (Hanoi) said that the unit has developed a plan to ensure medical emergency work at the hospital such as emergency trauma, fire, food poisoning, disaster; assigning specialized teams such as: ECMO; interventional cardiology; interventional radiology; emergency burns-trauma; interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy; ENT; maxillofacial surgery... to classify, handle and treat patients promptly. During the preliminary, final and official review days, department leaders arrange 50% of the staff to stay at the hospital on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any situation that may arise.
Like Xanh Pon Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital is completing the final steps to be ready to fulfill its mission of ensuring the health of delegates, participating forces and the masses attending the country's "National Day".
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Sinh Hien, Director of Hanoi Heart Hospital, said: The hospital has established four emergency teams, including doctors, nurses and emergency equipment. The emergency teams are fully prepared with medicine and medical equipment to be ready to respond to any situation that may arise at any time, anywhere during this time. At the hospital, not only is it ready to receive patients or emergency cases transferred to the hospital for treatment, but it is also arranged for emergency care outside the hospital according to the assigned location.
According to Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Health, Nguyen Dinh Hung: The unit has mobilized maximum resources, synchronously deployed many solutions to ensure medical work such as: Organizing emergency duty; controlling food safety; preventing and fighting epidemics, and responding to unexpected tasks. The capital's health sector mobilized 346 officers; 37 ambulances, divided into 88 emergency duty teams ready to participate in emergency activities, supporting health care for delegates, as well as people at the meaningful event of the country. Notably, with the goal of ensuring absolute safety, not allowing any epidemics to break out, the Hanoi Department of Health assigned the Hanoi Center for Disease Control to focus on monitoring epidemics and infectious diseases in the community; especially high-risk groups such as: dengue fever; hand, foot and mouth disease; flu and emerging infectious diseases.
On the other hand, coordinate with local authorities and health departments to spray chemicals to treat the environment and kill insects in areas where activities take place, areas where many people gather to watch parades and marches; arrange staff to monitor at locations of major events, be ready to provide emergency medical support, and proactively protect public health.
