Let's shine a light on solidarity amidst the chaos of storms and floods!

Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) has left devastating consequences, not only in the northern mountainous provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, and Yen Bai, but also spreading to Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, and the outskirts and suburbs of Hanoi . Many areas are deeply flooded, causing disruption and isolation. Other areas have suffered serious damage to both lives and property.

However, during those difficult times, the spirit of solidarity shone brightly, transforming the hearts of the people into a single unified force, working together to overcome the challenges.

From ordinary citizens to agencies, organizations, businesses… and generous individuals, everyone is turning their attention to the flood-stricken areas, demonstrating a spirit of mutual support and assistance in times of hardship. The heartwarming images of people braving danger, wading through water, turning over mud to help their compatriots in distress, and the timely arrival of relief teams in the flooded areas, have warmed the hearts of countless people.

The collective effort of the entire nation has been clearly demonstrated in practical actions. From donating food, essential supplies, and necessities to directly participating in relief efforts, cleaning up, and repairing houses, all reflect the solidarity and unwavering spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Not only ordinary people, but also artists have joined hands to contribute, such as singer Ngoc Son, artist Truong Giang, actress Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, singer Ha Anh Tuan, Shark Nguyen Hoa Binh and his wife Phuong Oanh, singer Hoa Minzy, streamer Do Mixi… and many other artists who have pioneered in supporting people in the North, spreading the message of love and mutual assistance.

The noble act of Professor Dr. Le Ngoc Thach – a visiting lecturer at the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) – in bringing a savings passbook containing 1 billion VND to the Tuoi Tre Newspaper's editorial office to express his love and support for the people of the North suffering from the floods and storms, is a clear testament to the spirit of mutual support and sharing of difficulties among the Vietnamese people.

Or consider the touching story of Mrs. Vu Thi Phung, a Giay ethnic woman from Ta Van Day 2 village, Ta Van commune (Sa Pa, Lao Cai), who, despite her advanced age and hunched back, still carries a bag of sticky rice from her home to contribute with the women's union of the commune to make banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to support people suffering from heavy rain and flooding.

Mrs. Phung's noble act was not only an act of sharing, but also a shining example of mutual support and love for her fellow countrymen, despite her own modest circumstances.

Throughout Vietnam, from those who donated material goods to those who dedicated their time and effort to wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) and preparing meals from night until morning, all contributed to a vibrant picture of the resilient Vietnamese spirit, demonstrating unity, mutual support, and love in the face of adversity. The word "compatriots" (đồng bào) has taken on a sacred meaning, binding the hearts of the Vietnamese people together in times of hardship.

Simultaneously, from North to South, many retail businesses have overcome difficulties in transporting goods at stable prices; numerous gas stations have quickly repaired the damage to support people in combating the storm; and countless charitable convoys have transported essential goods to the flood-stricken areas, hoping to support and share some of the difficulties with people in the storm-affected and flooded regions.

Most notably, amidst the raging storms and floods, the image of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army was once again deeply etched in the hearts of the people. They worked day and night to rescue the people. The police, military, and local authorities strained themselves to combat Typhoon Yagi, protecting and evacuating people to safety. Much sweat and effort were poured into their efforts. Some even lost their lives in the midst of the storm while ensuring the safety of the people during Typhoon Yagi… All of this has further solidified the beautiful image of the police and soldiers of Uncle Ho's army in the hearts of the Vietnamese people.

That's the Vietnamese spirit! The more difficult and challenging the circumstances, the more united we become. It is this spirit of unity and resilience that has enabled Vietnam to overcome all difficulties. Storms and floods will eventually pass, and people's lives will gradually return to normal, but the spirit of unity, love, and mutual support will forever be a great source of motivation, helping our country overcome all challenges and build a better, more prosperous life.
