This is one of two products that won the consolation prize from Phu Tho province at the 2025 National Youth and Children's Innovation Competition.
According to the author, the smart aeroponic system model is a modern solution in agricultural production, using sensor technology, automatic control, and internet connectivity to increase crop yields, save resources, and reduce environmental impact. The aeroponic system delivers nutrient solution directly to plant roots in the form of mist, allowing for efficient absorption. The system integrates smart Wi-Fi touch switches, enabling remote control via phone or computer.

The model consists of an aeroponic frame system to stabilize plants, a nutrient misting system, and a smart Wi-Fi touch switch. Users can schedule the device to turn on/off from 0-24 hours from anywhere via a mobile app. The model's outstanding benefits include water and nutrient savings, using only about 10% of the water compared to traditional methods. The automated system makes management easy and is suitable for urban spaces such as rooftops, balconies, or greenhouses. The soilless cultivation environment also helps limit pests and diseases, reducing the need for pesticides.
This model can be applied in schools, giving students a visual introduction to smart agriculture. For households, aeroponics helps grow clean vegetables and saves space. Modern farms can also apply it to improve productivity and product quality. The model is a modern farming solution that contributes to the development of Agriculture 4.0 in a sustainable direction, saving resources and protecting the environment, while also encouraging scientific research among students.
Dang Huy Manh shared: “The research and development of a smart aeroponic system not only demonstrates creativity but also the responsibility of the younger generation towards the environment and sustainable agriculture.” The model received support from teacher Nguyen Quoc Tuan, a technology teacher at Ha Hoa High School. The product won first prize at the school level, third prize at the district level, and honorable mentions at the provincial and national levels in the 2025 National Youth and Children's Innovation Competition, contributing to inspiring scientific research among students.
