Brandon Williams was once expected to be a talent of MU. |
Former Manchester United defender Brandon Williams admits he has learned valuable lessons from his off-field mistakes and is determined to rebuild his career at Hull City.
Williams, a former Carrington prospect, was involved in a traffic collision in August 2023 while driving at 159 km/h without insurance. As a result, he had his driving license revoked, admitted to dangerous driving and was recently given a 14-month suspended sentence.
Those troubles slowed down his career, especially after Williams left Man Utd last summer, ending his journey from childhood to 51 appearances for the first team.
Previously, Williams played for Norwich on loan, leaving his mark in 26 Premier League matches in the 2021/22 season, but his subsequent time at Ipswich was less smooth due to personal troubles.
Now, at 24, the English defender has the chance to start again, signing a one-year contract with Hull City. Williams admits he was not in good shape at the time of the mistake, but insists he has changed. During his time away from the pitch, he has been training quietly to maintain his fitness and nurture his desire to return.
“I just want to focus on football. I am more hungry and determined than ever. When I am in form, I believe I will be a valuable asset to Hull City,” Williams shared.
