(QNgTV)- Traffic infrastructure has marked a historic milestone when three expressways Vung Ang – Bung, Van Ninh – Cam Lo and Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan were simultaneously put into operation, opening a continuous expressway from Hanoi to Da Nang City with a length of 750 km. This is the premise for realizing the completion of 3,000 km of expressway by December. This is an important milestone in the process of modernizing national traffic infrastructure, creating a driving force for socio-economic development for many localities.

Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Construction has put into operation 7 component projects of the North-South Eastern Expressway in the 2021-2025 period with a total length of more than 221 km. The Central region has the 55.34 km Vung Ang - Bung section with a total investment of over 12,540 billion VND, passing through Ha Tinh and Quang Tri; the 65.55 km Van Ninh - Cam Lo section located entirely in Quang Tri and the 11.47 km Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section connecting the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai route. In the Southern region, there are also many sections of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh and Van Phong - Nha Trang routes put into operation, contributing to connecting the entire Hanoi - Da Nang route, which is of strategic significance in both transportation and regional development.

This result has affirmed the determination and strong will to overcome difficulties of all engineers and workers on the construction site with the spirit of "overcoming the sun and rain, not losing to storms and winds," "working day and night, working overtime on holidays," "through holidays and Tet,"... all for the goal of completing the project early.

Along with that, project management boards assign staff to be present at the construction site regularly, including holidays and Tet. Supervision consultants must also arrange sufficient personnel to inspect and supervise construction contractors, ensuring that contractors maintain continuous personnel and construction machinery, and continue to complete the remaining projects by the end of this year.

The launch of a series of expressway projects is of great significance to the goal of completing the North-South expressway system, helping to shorten travel time and at the same time creating momentum for socio -economic development for localities along the route. This is an important step towards realizing the goal of completing the entire Eastern North-South expressway by the end of this year, affirming the Government's determination to modernize the transport infrastructure system, contributing to promoting sustainable economic growth and enhancing national competitiveness.
