The Cultural Festival is about to take place.

(To Quoc) - The Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival and the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in China, featuring many attractive activities, will take place on November 5th and 8th.

Taking place in Kunming City, Yunnan Province on November 5th and Chongqing City on November 8th, the Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival and the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in Kunming and Chongqing are activities aimed at commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and the "Vietnam-China Humanistic Exchange Year" in 2025 – a milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two neighboring countries with a long history and close cultural ties. The festival not only contributes to honoring the unique traditional cultural values ​​of the two nations but also provides an opportunity for the people of both countries to enhance mutual understanding through cultural, artistic, and tourism exchanges.

The program is chaired by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, in coordination with units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Vietnamese diplomatic missions in China; provincial Departments of Tourism, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and airlines and tourism businesses. The event is not only significant from a diplomatic perspective but also serves as an important bridge, contributing to the sustainable development and shared prosperity of Vietnam and China in the future.

Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival and Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in Kunming (November 5th) and Chongqing (November 8th)

With a series of other side events such as: a photo exhibition on Vietnamese Heritage, Culture, and Tourism; a presentation of Vietnamese cuisine; and cultural performances, the event will showcase the unique cultural aspects and traditional values ​​of Vietnam, thereby promoting understanding and connection between the people of the two countries, exploring and appreciating each other's cultures. At the same time, it will introduce the image and brand of Vietnam as a safe, friendly, hospitable, and sustainable tourist destination; convey the new policies and guidelines of the Vietnamese Government on tourism, the development orientation of the Vietnamese tourism industry; and introduce new tourism products and destinations that are suitable and attractive to Chinese tourists in the post-pandemic context.

These activities also contribute to introducing and promoting tourism growth, including encouraging the expansion of direct flights between major Chinese cities and key tourist destinations in Vietnam. Simultaneously, meetings, networking events, negotiations, cooperation promotion, and contract signings are held to boost two-way tourism between Vietnam and China, as well as to restore direct flights, thereby enhancing access for Chinese tourists to key tourist destinations in Vietnam.

By strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of culture and tourism, the Vietnam Cultural and Tourism Exchange Festival in Kunming and Chongqing is not only significant diplomatically but also serves as an important bridge, contributing to the sustainable development and shared prosperity of Vietnam and China in the future.
