Positive signs
Before the end of 2025, the locality received 43 new non-budgetary investment projects with a total registered capital of over VND 14,351 billion and an implementation area of approximately 721.6 hectares. Thus, Lam Dong province currently has 2,940 active investment projects with a total investment capital of over VND 2,022,665 billion (including 235 FDI projects with a total registered capital of VND 224,282 billion).
Over the past year, the province is estimated to have seen 4,000 new businesses registered with a registered capital of approximately 21,000 billion VND, representing a 66% increase in the number of businesses and a 7.69% increase in registered capital. To date, the province has over 31,000 businesses with an average charter capital of over 10 billion VND per business, operating in various fields and sectors. This focuses on effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of all three regions: Lam Dong (the city of flowers), Lam Dong (the blue sea), and Lam Dong (the vast forests). Notable areas include high-tech agriculture , industry (processing and manufacturing, renewable energy), and tourism (high-class resorts, adventure sports, cultural festivals, etc.).
The above results show optimistic signs in attracting investment projects and registering businesses in Lam Dong - the largest province in the country after mergers, opening up many development opportunities in the new phase. In particular, the development of the private economy in accordance with Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo has been actively implemented by the local government. At the same time, the goal is to have approximately 33,000 businesses operating stably and effectively in the province by 2030, and around 78,000 businesses by 2045. The aim is to develop the private economy in the province rapidly, strongly, sustainably, and proactively participate in global production and supply chains.
Standing alongside businesses
Demonstrating its commitment to supporting businesses and investors, the Provincial People's Committee has recently organized a series of conferences, including the 2025 Dialogue Conference with Businesses and the 2025 Investment Promotion Conference, themed "Lam Dong: Breaking Through Potential, Elevating Position." On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also announced a list of key projects, signed cooperation agreements with many large investors and corporations, and affirmed its commitment to supporting businesses and building a transparent, open, and efficient investment environment. It is expected that in early 2026, the province will continue to coordinate and organize a workshop on "Improving Provincial Competitiveness and the Investment and Business Environment of Lam Dong Province." At this workshop, provincial leaders will listen to recommendations for improving the investment and business environment in Lam Dong from the perspectives of managers, businesses, investors, and professional social organizations, to be applied in practical management and administration.
On the eve of the New Year, the inauguration ceremony of the Tan Duc Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project (one of the projects simultaneously launched and inaugurated nationwide to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam) took place in Tan Minh commune. Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh pledged to accompany, support, and create all conditions for the project's smooth implementation, stable and efficient operation, and always consider the success of the enterprise as the success of the province. With the province's determination to follow the orientation of "good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies, good public services," Lam Dong province always welcomes investors to explore and invest in the locality.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Business Association and Chairman of the Binh Thuan Business Association, the business community has recently acknowledged the increasingly clear attention and support from the provincial leadership and relevant departments and agencies. This is demonstrated through numerous dialogues, problem-solving efforts, administrative procedure reforms, and support for the investment and business environment in the province. In particular, the proactive spirit, attentiveness, and timely responses from the local government have contributed to building greater confidence among businesses, allowing them to confidently engage in production and business activities and expand their investments. Looking ahead, the business community expects that the implementation of Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on the development of the private economy will continue to be concretized through more substantive, consistent, and business-oriented policies. Simultaneously, there will be increased support for businesses to enhance their competitiveness, digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.
In 2026, Lam Dong province will continue to promote administrative reform, enhance the efficiency of state agencies, departments, and local governments in creating favorable conditions for the development of the private economy.
