This series of events holds special significance for the electricity sector, coinciding with the Conference summarizing production and business activities in 2025 and outlining tasks for 2026.

Mr. Vu Anh Phuong – Deputy General Director and the EVNNPC delegation reviewed the preparations for the EVNNPC 2026 Science and Technology Exhibition – Techshow in Hai Phong.
The event is scheduled to take place over two days, January 12-13, 2026, in Hai Phong City, with the participation of representatives from central ministries and agencies, leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), and leaders of electricity units in the Northern region – an area playing a particularly important role in ensuring national energy security and economic growth.
The selection of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the overarching theme for the series of activities marking the beginning of 2026 not only signifies a year of hard work and effort but also sends a clear message: the Northern power sector is proactively entering a new development cycle – where modern management, data-driven operations, and technology are essential requirements.
It's not just about summarizing, but about shaping the future.
The North is an area with high and stable electricity load growth rates over the past many years, concentrating many industrial centers, large urban areas, and key economic zones. In 2025, amidst rising electricity demand and increasingly extreme weather conditions, EVNNPC will continue to pursue its dual goals: ensuring safe and continuous electricity supply and improving the quality of operation and service.

According to aggregated business performance data for 2025, EVNNPC's commercial electricity sales reached 106.54 billion kWh, an increase of 7.46% compared to 2024 and achieving 100.18% of the plan assigned by EVN. Electricity production and business revenue reached VND 224,384 billion, with an average electricity selling price of VND 2,104.38/kWh – exceeding EVN's plan by VND 2.38/kWh. Alongside the task of electricity supply comes increasing pressure on reliability, service quality, operational safety, and production and business efficiency.
In this context, EVNNPC's 2025 Business Performance Review Conference aims not only to evaluate achievements but also to raise strategic questions for the next phase: how to meet the growing electricity demand while effectively controlling costs, reducing power losses, and improving labor productivity?
Mr. Ha Huy Tam, Deputy General Director of EVNNPC, stated: "We don't view the review as merely looking back at the past, but rather as a way to re-establish our development mindset. In the new context, science and technology are no longer an option, but a mandatory foundation for the management and operation of the power industry."
Techshow – where science and technology emerge from practice.
Unlike many technology exhibitions that focus on demonstrations, Techshow EVNNPC 2026 is designed as a space to showcase technical solutions, innovations, and technological applications directly stemming from the practical production and business operations of the Northern Vietnam electricity sector.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Techshow is expected to showcase 22 outstanding scientific and technological products and solutions, researched and developed by EVNNPC's officers, engineers, and employees in the process of managing and operating the power grid, electricity business, and enterprise management.
It is noteworthy that most of the solutions stem from very specific problems: inspecting power lines in complex terrain, monitoring unmanned substations, improving workplace safety, optimizing dispatching operations, and training human resources.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Hien – Head of Technical Department, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Northern Power Testing Company (NPCETC) shared: "Every initiative begins with a very simple question: how to make the work safer, faster, and more accurate. When displayed at Techshow, it is not only a source of personal pride, but also the result of a whole process of creative work."
This "on-the-ground" approach makes EVNNPC Techshow not just a showcase, but also a forum for sharing knowledge and promoting the replication of effective solutions throughout the entire corporation.
Science and technology - from foundations to in-depth management
In recent years, EVNNPC has implemented a comprehensive range of programs for industrial promotion, innovation, and digital transformation across all sectors: engineering and operation, business and customer service, internal management, and human resource training.
In the engineering field, the application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), remote monitoring systems, and big data analytics has significantly shortened power grid inspection time, reduced the number of power outages for technical work, and, most importantly, minimized risks for workers.

The application of UAVs equipped with flamethrowers to address threats to power lines enhances safety and operational efficiency of the power grid.
Alongside this, business operations and customer service continue to innovate towards digitalization and transparency. The rate of cashless payments by customers reached 99.23%. By the end of 2025, EVNNPC recorded 1,595 customers developing rooftop solar power for self-production and self-consumption with a total capacity of approximately 329.6 MW; at the same time, 74 customers have announced they are installing, with an expected additional capacity of about 114.9 MW.
From a technical efficiency perspective, EVNNPC controls power loss and power supply reliability as a "measure" of operational capacity. Power loss in 2025 is projected at 3.54% (of which 110kV: 0.95% | medium voltage: 1.73% | low voltage: 4.02%). All reliability indicators meet EVN's targets: MAIFI 2.04 times; SAIDI 282 minutes; SAIFI 2.65 times, reflecting the system's operational capacity, power restoration, and post-disaster response.
Alongside digital transformation, EVNNPC is promoting science, technology, and innovation in a substantive way: by 2025, there will be 8 initiatives recognized at the EVN level, 2 EVN-level projects assigned (1 project completed), and 90 initiatives at the Corporation level.
The role of state-owned enterprises in realizing major policies.
From a socio -political perspective, EVNNPC's placement of science, technology, and innovation at the center of its development strategy clearly reflects the role of state-owned enterprises in concretizing the major policies and guidelines of the Party and the State.
Resolution 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, and innovation clearly states that enterprises, especially state-owned enterprises, must become important subjects of innovation, applying technology to solve practical problems of the economy.
In the context of the electricity sector having to both ensure energy security and face pressure to improve production and business efficiency, EVNNPC's organization of the Techshow in conjunction with the Annual Review Conference is seen as a vivid example of how a large infrastructure enterprise transforms policy into concrete action.
An energy expert commented: "A noteworthy point about EVNNPC is that technological innovation is inseparable from its political and business objectives. The Techshow shows that science and technology are being placed in the right position, serving as tools for sustainable development."
New Year's greetings with a spirit of renewal.
Organizing the EVNNPC Techshow 2026 at the beginning of the year is not only a professional activity, but also carries symbolic significance, a New Year's greeting from the Northern power industry with a spirit of innovation and creativity.

With 2026 identified as a pivotal year for implementing many important tasks of the new development phase, the series of events in Hai Phong is expected to create a strong competitive spirit throughout the Corporation, spreading the spirit of proactive innovation to each unit and each employee.
According to EVNNPC leaders, the EVNNPC Techshow 2026 not only reflects an event but also shows how the Northern power sector chooses its development path: taking science and technology as the foundation, putting people at the center, and using efficiency in serving economic and social development as the measure. This is also the consistent message sent from Hai Phong – a dynamic industrial city – in the early days of 2026: the Northern power sector enters the new year with a proactive, innovative stance and is ready for higher development demands.
