The team of reporters and propagandists are key in disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, while also serving as a bridge between the Party committees, the government, and the people. Si Ma Cai district always pays attention to building this team to ensure sufficient numbers and gradually improve its quality.
Recently, we had the opportunity to accompany officials from Lung Than commune to Nang Cang village to promote and encourage residents to participate in local movements and activities. The outreach session took place in a cheerful and open atmosphere, attracting representatives from over 100 households. This is a regular monthly activity of Nang Cang village officials at the village's cultural center.
According to Mr. Giàng Seo Nhà, Secretary of the Nàng Cảng village Party branch and grassroots propagandist in Lùng Thẩn commune, before each monthly Party branch meeting and village meeting, the Party branch committee carefully prepares the propaganda content provided by the higher-level Party committee, and also flexibly applies it to address prominent and topical issues in the locality.
When implementing specific tasks related to the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws, we always encourage everyone to engage in dialogue and express their opinions to obtain diverse perspectives, helping listeners understand and grasp the issues more quickly. During these discussions, we also incorporate the dissemination of information and encourage people to change their way of thinking and working in production, thereby increasing family income.
Thanks to the flexible communication efforts of local propagandists, in 2023, the people of Nang Cang village donated nearly 8,000 m² of land (worth over 245 million VND) to expand rural roads. The villagers also boldly transformed their crop and livestock structures, developing temperate fruit tree models linked to tourism development (planting Tai Nung pears and Ta Van plums on a total area of 260 hectares; in 2023 alone, they harvested 17 tons of plums and 376 tons of pears, equivalent to nearly 4 billion VND), thereby helping many households become wealthy.
In recent times, to improve the effectiveness of oral propaganda, Si Ma Cai has implemented many solutions to enhance the quality and skills of its team of speakers and propagandists. A prime example is the successful organization of the 2023 speaker competition. Through this competition, 18 speakers and propagandists further demonstrated their political acumen, skills, and expertise in oral propaganda, as well as their dedication and responsibility to their work.
As the first-prize winner at the 2023 district-level public speaker competition, Mr. Thào Phù Páo from the Sán Chải commune Party Committee shared: "The competition was an opportunity for me to learn, exchange ideas, and gain experience to improve my professional skills and abilities, which I can then flexibly apply to my work."
Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, Si Ma Cai has organized two district-level competitions for excellent public speakers. The two competitions have shown a fairly consistent level of participation, with contestants possessing considerable skills, experience, and expertise; many contestants have mastered the content and delivery methods, engaging their audience.
In addition, the Si Ma Cai District Party Committee maintains a monthly meeting with its team of speakers. During these meetings, speakers are provided with information on current events both domestically and internationally, thematic reports, and major orientations regarding ideological work. They also directly reflect on the ideological situation and developments among the people in their respective areas and fields of responsibility, and offer suggestions and recommendations to the District Party Committee.
Si Ma Cai district currently has 3 provincial-level speakers, 15 district-level speakers, and 302 commune-level propagandists. From 2020 to the present, the district has organized 26 district-level speaker conferences and 427 commune-level propaganda conferences, attracting more than 26,000 participants.
Building on the achievements, in the coming period, Si Ma Cai district will continue to implement solutions to renew the awareness and responsibility of Party committees and leaders regarding the role, position, and function of speakers and propagandists, while strengthening professional training and providing information and materials to the team of speakers and propagandists…
