Notably, some cases of technical modifications allow the vehicles to reach speeds of 70–80 km/h, posing a potential traffic safety risk, especially for drivers lacking skill. In April 2026, at least three accidents involving electric motorbikes driven by teenagers occurred in the western part of the province.

In response to this situation, the Quang Ngai Provincial Police have implemented a comprehensive set of measures to tighten management. Law enforcement officers have increased patrols and set up checkpoints on key roads, near schools, and in residential areas.

Many violations have been dealt with severely, requiring vehicle repairs and the signing of commitments not to repeat the offense. The combination of enforcing regulations and raising awareness through education is considered an important solution to improve traffic law compliance among young people.
