Children go to school, grandparents also "go to school"
From Monday to Friday every week, when their children go to school or work, the elderly in Da Nang also "go to school" at the Eldernest boarding class. The elderly students participate in many activities such as: yoga, physical therapy, regular health check-ups with medical experts, psychological counseling, soft skills training and scheduled picnics.
The class runs from 7am to 5pm every day. In the evening, seniors return home to stay connected with their families. Balancing time spent in class and with family helps seniors have a suitable space to share the joys of old age without feeling "left out".

Eldernest is the first boarding school model for the elderly in Da Nang .
The Eldernest model is not simply a community center, but is designed as a comprehensive elderly care service ecosystem, combining physical, mental and nutritional care. In addition to skills and exercise classes, the elderly also have psychological counseling sessions from experts to express their concerns about old age, thereby reducing the risk of depression.
Each student at Eldernest has their own nutritional regimen designed to suit their physical condition and individual needs. At the same time, the center also connects with local hospitals to provide medical support for students during the class and promptly handle any emergency situations that may arise. Thanks to that, the elderly have a living space, health care, and positive living every day.

Up to 80% refund policy and flexible conversion policy.
With tuition fees ranging from 1 million VND to 1.9 million VND/5-day or 10-day package, Eldernest is positioned towards the mid- to high-end segment in Da Nang. Each day, the center only accepts 35 to 40 students to ensure service quality.
In addition, the center also supports home pick-up, a refund policy of up to 80% and flexible schedule conversion options, helping families feel secure when entrusting their loved ones.
Humanistic model in modern city
Eldernest is a graduation thesis topic conducted by a group of students majoring in Business Administration and International Business, FPT University, Da Nang branch, under the guidance of Master. PhD student Vo An Hai - Head of the Department of Business Administration.

Eldernest is performed by Phan Thi Thu Giang, Le Tran Thao Nguyen, Nguyen Anh Duc, Nguyen Duong Hong Nhung and Nguyen Duc Trung.
Prior to implementation, the team conducted surveys in Da Nang and Hoi An, collecting 545 valid responses from 900 samples. The results showed that more than 60% of survey participants in Da Nang expressed the need for a day care space for the elderly - a need that has long been neglected in the Central region.
Eldernest does not compete with nursing homes but creates a new service segment where seniors can maintain their independence but receive professional care and social connection.
According to the group representative, the trial sessions have brought a lot of positive feedback, both from the participants and their families: "Grandparents feel happy, comfortable and enjoy the activities brought by Eldernest".

Currently, the group does not have the conditions to commercialize the product but is willing to cooperate with businesses or organizations interested in this model.
According to the evaluation of the thesis evaluation board and business representatives, the project not only has a systematic service structure but also demonstrates clear potential for practical development. In particular, the pilot operation sessions have received many positive responses from the participants and their families.
"Eldernest is not just a thesis, but an answer to an increasingly urgent social problem. We are fortunate to study in an environment that emphasizes practical experience, with dedicated instructors who accompany us from both professional and spiritual perspectives, so that we can turn an idea into a concrete form," shared a representative of the student group.
Although not yet operational, Eldernest is a typical example of a humanistic, practical and sensitive approach to graduation thesis topics. In the context of Vietnam entering a period of rapid population aging, models like Eldernest, if effectively implemented, can contribute to changing the way the community views old age - no longer as an end, but as a journey to live happily, healthily and meaningfully.
