Accordingly, on May 23, the Inspection Team conducted work to evaluate the collected documents and the content recorded in the inspection report dated May 20 on food safety at Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited.
From the results of the work, the members of the Inspection Team agreed to propose that the assessment of the actual effectiveness based on the results of the project, the scientific nature, legality, applicability of the project and the cooperation process between the Institute of Nutrition and Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited are not within the authority of the Inspection Team. Therefore, the Inspection Team recommended that the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health issue a written proposal to the Ministry of Health and the Department of Science, Technology and Training to clarify this content.

At the time of working, due to the lack of test results of the product sample: "Nestlé Milo Barley Milk Supplement" from the testing unit, the Inspection Team had no basis to conclude on the quality and safety of the product. Regarding the requirements of the Inspection Team on May 20, the company had not fully explained the related contents. The Inspection Team agreed to continue to verify and study related records and documents so as not to miss any violations before having test results and handling the case.
The report of the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health also mentioned the phrase "proven to help children" on the label and the media quoted it incorrectly and incompletely according to the conclusion of the Nutrition Institute.
Previously, the Department of Food Safety - Ministry of Health sent a document to the Department of Health of Dong Nai province regarding coordination in handling information related to advertising of Nestlé Milo barley milk products.
