Exciting Composite Aircraft Hull Race

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and International Labor Day (May 1st), this morning (April 29th), in U Minh town, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of U Minh district, organized the 2025 Ca Mau Province Expanded Composite Motorboat Racing Tournament. This activity is part of the "Fragrance of U Minh Forest 2025" series of events.

Mr. Do Dang Khoa, Director of the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, said: "This year's expanded composite boat racing competition has 70 racers from Long An , Can Tho, Kien Giang provinces and other localities with boat racing movements in the province, competing over a distance of 800 meters. The race track is a section of the Cai Tau River in U Minh town, U Minh district. The race aims to respond to the 'National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh' in Ca Mau province."

80 racers participated in the opening ceremony of the Composite Boat Racing Championship on the U Minh River.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh district, presented flowers to the sponsors.

“Athletes participating in the competition must ensure absolute safety and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, ‘Unity - Honesty - Nobility,’ and combat all negative behaviors in competition; the organization must be dignified, safe, practical, effective, and economical,” Mr. Do Dang Khoa suggested.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes drew lots to determine their pairings for the knockout competition. The race was lively and exciting, offering spectators thrilling competitions and attracting thousands of viewers and supporters, creating a joyful atmosphere during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the nation's complete victory.

A large crowd of spectators gathered at the embankment area of U Minh town to enthusiastically cheer on the racers.

On this occasion, the organizing committee mobilized sponsors to donate 20 gift packages to disadvantaged households in U Minh town.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Dong, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council, along with sponsor Anh Kiet, presented gifts to families in difficult circumstances.
