Exciting Sports Festival of Block 6

More than 120 athletes participated in the sports festival .

The sports festival was organized by Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of Emulation Block 6, to practically achieve achievements to welcome the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union Congress and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028; to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports festival, delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival, affirmed: The sports festival activities in the Emulation Block 6 are organized annually by the Block Leaders in rotation, not only in response to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" but also creating conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to meet, exchange and share experiences in sports training to improve physical strength, at the same time promoting the spirit of solidarity, attachment, and motivating cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the emulation block to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports festival, presented souvenir flags to the participating units.

Draw lots to select the competing teams.

Athletes compete in 5 folk games combined with light physical sports, including: Artistic football, slow cycling, sack race, throwing balls into baskets, and picking up balls with a rope.

Excited about freestyle football.

Attractive basket ball game.

Team spirit in sack race relay.

Gentle game of picking up balls with a rope.

Skillful slow cycling.

After an exciting competition with a spirit of solidarity, Vietnam - Korea Vocational College Ca Mau and Ca Mau Newspaper each won 2 First prizes and the remaining First prize belonged to Ca Mau Radio and Television Station.

Mr. Ngo Minh Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Ca Mau Newspaper, awarded prizes to the winning units.

Closing the sports festival, Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival, commented: “The athletes competed enthusiastically, creating a fun and entertaining atmosphere, strengthening solidarity between units in the Bloc without focusing on achievements. Hopefully, the leaders of the units in the Bloc will pay more attention so that this meaningful sports activity will become larger in scale and of increasingly higher quality”./.
