Exciting Sports Festival of Emulation Bloc 6

Over 120 athletes participated in the sports event .

The sports event, organized by Ca Mau Newspaper, Head of Emulation Bloc 6, is a practical way to celebrate the Provincial Civil Servant Trade Union Congress and the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028; and to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports event, delivered the opening speech.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports festival, affirmed: The sports festival in Emulation Bloc 6 is organized annually by the Bloc leaders on a rotating basis. It not only responds to the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh" but also creates opportunities for officials, civil servants, and workers to meet, interact, and share experiences in sports training to improve physical fitness, while simultaneously fostering solidarity and cohesion, and motivating officials, civil servants, and workers in the emulation bloc to successfully complete their assigned tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports event, presented commemorative flags to the participating units.

The teams will be drawn by lot.

The athletes competed in five traditional games that combined light physical activity, including: freestyle football, slow bicycle race, sack race relay, throwing balls into a basket, and retrieving balls with a rope.

Teamwork and coordination are key aspects of the sack race relay.

A gentle game of fetching balls with a string.

Skillful slow cycling.

Following a lively competition filled with teamwork, the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Ca Mau and Ca Mau Newspaper each won two first prizes, while the remaining first prize went to Ca Mau Radio and Television Station.

Mr. Ngo Minh Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper, presented awards to the winning units.

At the closing ceremony of the sports event, Mr. Nguyen Nam Phong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ca Mau Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, assessed: “The athletes competed enthusiastically, creating a fun and entertaining atmosphere, strengthening solidarity among the units within the Bloc without focusing too much on achievements. We hope that the leaders of the units within the Bloc will pay more attention to this meaningful sporting activity so that it can grow in scale and quality even further.”
