Exciting competition to decorate and parade flower lanterns in the Whale Festival - Can Gio 2025

VHO - On October 6, in Can Gio commune (HCMC), the People's Committee of Can Gio commune organized a competition to decorate and parade floats in the Nghinh Ong Festival - Can Gio 2025.

The contest aims to continue to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values ​​of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage - Nghinh Ong Festival - Can Gio, contributing to building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.

The contest is also an opportunity to evaluate the skills and expertise in propaganda decoration of communes, and at the same time, create conditions for units to exchange and share experiences in visual propaganda activities.

Through the organization of the contest, it will contribute to promoting propaganda and education of love for the profession, love for the homeland, the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland. After the contest, the floats of Hung Thanh hamlet of Can Gio commune, Binh Khanh commune, An Thoi Dong commune and Thanh An commune together with the floats of the commune paraded on the streets in Can Gio commune; participated in the parade at the Full Moon Festival on the evening of the same day and joined the procession on the morning of October 7, which is the 16th day of the 8th lunar month.

It is known that the Organizing Committee will award prizes to the winning units at the Conference to summarize the Nghinh Ong Festival - Can Gio 2025.

The Nghinh Ong Festival - Can Gio 2025 will take place from October 5 to 7 in Can Gio commune, aiming to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values ​​of the locality, contributing to building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
