Cultural infrastructure has been invested in comprehensively from the provincial level down to the villages and hamlets. The province has also implemented many projects to build cultural institutions, restore historical sites, and support heritage preservation.
These structures become gathering places, connecting people in cultural, sports , and local festival activities, while also serving as spaces for nurturing and transmitting cultural identity to the younger generation.
Besides state investment, the people of Thai Nguyen have also actively contributed their labor and resources to build spacious cultural centers and maintain traditional singing and dancing clubs. This collective effort creates a sustainable foundation for culture to permeate social life, becoming a spiritual force in the socio-economic development of the locality.
Alongside investing in infrastructure, the province also focuses on preserving intangible cultural values and promoting the leading role of the community.
Thai Nguyen is currently implementing Project 6 under the National Target Program for the Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, focusing on supporting the construction of cultural and sports facilities and developing community tourism in disadvantaged areas.
Thanks to these resources, from 2022 to the present alone, 21 new village cultural centers and sports facilities have been built, with 11 of them located in Dinh Hoa district, creating conditions for ethnic minority communities to engage in cultural activities, practice sports, and preserve their traditional customs.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province has completed the renovation and upgrading of typical tourist destinations and cultural villages; and is also implementing additional projects expected to be completed in 2025. These projects not only contribute to the preservation of traditional crafts and valuable historical sites, but also transform them into distinctive tourism products, creating an attractive destination for Thai Nguyen.

The province also allocates operational funds to support amateur performing arts groups in maintaining regular activities in villages and hamlets in ethnic minority areas. Clubs for singing Then songs of the Tay people, Soọng Cô songs of the San Diu people, Tắc Xình dances of the San Chay people, Pả Dung songs of the Dao people, etc., are all given renewed energy to both preserve the essence of folk art and perform at festivals and tourism events. Through this, the spiritual life of the people is enhanced, and the image of Thai Nguyen becomes more vibrant and rich in cultural identity in the eyes of tourists.
On average, Thai Nguyen province develops about five cultural models each year, focusing on preserving cultural identity and developing community tourism, with an emphasis on restoring festivals, folk songs, and folk dances that have been listed in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Thanks to these effective models, many unique cultural values of ethnic minorities have been revived, spread, and widely promoted, contributing to making Thai Nguyen – the region known for its "finest tea" – an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
It is evident that economic development coupled with the preservation and promotion of cultural values is becoming a sustainable direction for Thai Nguyen. Culture is not only a spiritual foundation but also a soft resource that promotes economic sectors such as tourism, services, agriculture, and creative industries.
Recognizing this, the province has set the goal of developing "rapidly, with a strong identity, and sustainably" in the coming period. To realize this goal, the province continues to prioritize investment resources for the cultural sector, implementing the Vietnam Cultural Development Program for the period 2023-2025 in a comprehensive manner, while simultaneously promoting socialization and mobilizing the participation of businesses and the community in heritage preservation, organizing cultural and tourism events, and developing new tourism products.
The outstanding achievements in recent times serve as a foundation for Thai Nguyen to confidently move forward on the path of leveraging its cultural resources for economic development. Culture is truly becoming an intrinsic driving force, both enhancing the spiritual life of the people and creating new momentum for this expansive midland region on its journey of integration and development.
