Attending the launching ceremony were representatives from the People's Committee of Xuan Thoi Son commune ( Ho Chi Minh City), OX1 Workshop (Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7), partner companies, agencies, and units, as well as officers and soldiers of the unit.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuyen emphasized the profound and practical significance of the Tet Tree Planting movement. This activity not only educates about the nation's fine traditions but also directly raises the sense of responsibility of each soldier and the community in protecting the environment, responding to climate change, building a more orderly, green, clean, and beautiful unit landscape, and building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, and outstanding" unit.
The Commander of Center 286 requested that all agencies, units, and subordinate clusters maintain the effectiveness of the movement, ensuring the criterion of "every tree planted survives." Tree planting must go hand in hand with care and protection to ensure sustainable growth and development, without pursuing achievements or formality.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and soldiers of Center 286 and affiliated units directly participated in planting various types of trees in the unit's grounds. The activity was carried out quickly and safely, demonstrating the spirit of military-civilian solidarity, spreading the message of green living and the profound humanitarian significance of the tree-planting campaign on May 19th - the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.
