On the afternoon of August 12, the Traffic Safety Committee of Gia Lai province informed about the accident between a car and a truck that killed 3 members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club.

Accordingly, at around 2:40 p.m. the same day, a truck with license plate 81H-02760 driven by Dinh Tien Binh (born in 1987, residing in Nhon Hoa town, Chu Puh) was traveling in the direction of Dak Lak - Gia Lai. When arriving at Chu Puh town, about 70-80km from Pleiku, the above vehicle collided with a car driven by Nguyen Tu Sinh (born in 1966).

The car at this time carried assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh (born in 1975), foreign striker Paollo Oliveira (born in 1996) and doctor of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club Dao Trong Tri (born in 1992).

After the incident, the truck with license plate 81H-02760 continued to collide with the truck with license plate 47C-26306 driven by Nguyen Tan Xon (born in 1983, residing in Dak Lak) traveling in the opposite direction.

As a result, 3 people in the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club car died on the spot, driver Nguyen Tu Sinh is being treated at the hospital.

Mr. Ha Anh Thai, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Gia Lai province, said that Gia Lai Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Victim Nguyen Tu Sinh has begun to regain consciousness and is receiving medical care at Hoang Anh Gia Lai Hospital.
