The impetus from social consensus

Over the past period, the spirit of "for the community," with its practical and meaningful actions, has spread widely across localities, agencies, and units... becoming a valuable resource, empowering the new government, acting as a unifying force, and creating momentum for a new and promising journey.

The Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee Office presented gifts to Phuc Yen Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School.

The numbers speak for themselves.

In July 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province, along with political and social organizations, simultaneously launched numerous community-building activities, ranging from supporting people after administrative unit mergers to promoting patriotic emulation campaigns and movements. The "For the Poor" Fund accumulated over 333 billion VND, supporting 3,687 poor and near-poor households.

In addition, nearly 4,000 man-days were mobilized to renovate and upgrade 21 km of rural roads; build and renovate 47 village cultural houses; install 36 power lines to "light up the countryside"; and plant more than 5,400 new trees.

These results are further highlighted by the "telling" numbers, living proof of the compassion and solidarity of the people of Tuyen Quang : At the "Tuyen Quang Blood Donation Day" at the end of July 2025, the Organizing Committee received 782 units of blood, bringing the total donations in the 2025 Red Journey to nearly 1,400 units, achieving 200% of the plan, demonstrating the compassionate and sharing hearts of the people of Tuyen Quang.

As of August 11, 2025, the entire province had completed the support for 15,064 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and policy beneficiary families, achieving 100% of the plan; of which 13,848 houses have been completed and handed over for use, and 1,216 houses are being urgently completed. The synchronized support programs from the State, the Fatherland Front, the sustainable poverty reduction program, policies supporting ethnic minorities, and local movements have been effective in mobilizing people's strength, connecting all resources for the community, and contributing to realizing the goal of stable housing and improving the quality of life for the people.

On the front lines, the image of the soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh Army always shines brightly. Lieutenant Colonel Ha Ngoc Thap, Deputy Head of Political Affairs, Provincial Military Command, emphasized: “We always consider supporting and assisting the people as a regular political task, closely tied to the people. In the past 5 years, 2,392 officers and Party members of the unit have directly worked with the people to clear, repair, and clean 1,680 km of inter-commune and inter-village roads; collected and processed 86.6 tons of waste; planted 16 flower-lined roads totaling 14.16 km and more than 4,300 trees. These concrete and practical actions have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party committee, the government, and the people, contributing to consolidating the national defense posture and strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people.”

In Yen Son commune, Comrade Nhu Thi Thu, Party Branch Secretary and Head of Nong Truong village, believes that community strength is only sustainable when each citizen participates in discussions, reaches consensus, and directly contributes to the common good. She shared: “As Party Branch Secretary, I always prioritize internal unity, collaboration with various departments and agencies, and mobilizing social resources to build a culturally advanced and progressive residential area. Over the past 10 years, Nong Truong village has completed many rural infrastructure projects such as concrete roads, a cultural center, drainage ditches, security electricity lines, and flower-lined roads… with a total cost of hundreds of millions of dong contributed by the people. The average income of the village in 2024 reached over 50 million dong per person per year; the Party branch has consistently performed its duties excellently for many years, achieving the title of clean and strong.”

Connecting Trust

The youthful energy and pioneering spirit of young people have breathed new life into "for the community" activities. Nguyen Manh Toan, Secretary of the Youth Union Branch of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Office, said: "Not only do we provide good advice on Youth Union work, but we also coordinate and organize many practical volunteer activities in the communes of Linh Phu, Tan My, Dao Vien, Phuc Yen (formerly)... from free medical examinations and medicine distribution, planting flower-lined roads, giving gifts to policy beneficiary families and poor students, to building bridges for the people, lighting up rural roads, and providing materials for schoolyards. Each project and task is a bridge connecting young people with the community."

In Cay Xoan village, Thai Hoa commune, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Village Front Committee, is trusted by the people not only for his enthusiasm but also for his transparent and open approach. From mobilizing resources for road construction and cultural center repairs to collecting contributions and supervising construction, he provides clear information, fostering high levels of consensus. He concludes: “If people see that what we are doing is beneficial and meaningful, they will voluntarily participate. Social consensus is built through sincere persuasion and encouragement, based on trust and mutual respect, not through administrative orders.”

The spirit of "for the community" is also nurtured by ordinary people who live beautiful lives and quietly dedicate themselves, like Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huyen from Phu An residential area, Binh Thuan ward. Twice a week, if she's not busy, from dawn onwards, she's at An Vinh Pagoda with other Buddhists, lighting fires to cook delicious, nutritious porridge to distribute to poor patients and their families at the Provincial General Hospital and the Traditional Medicine Hospital. In addition, she is also one of the very active participants in voluntary blood donation. She says: "I simply think that if I'm still healthy, I should dedicate my time and energy to sharing with those who are less fortunate."
From a practical perspective, "community-oriented" activities have become a valuable pillar during the period when the two-tiered government system is being perfected. Without waiting for major policies or abundant resources, many localities have mobilized the people's strength through simple actions: donating land for roads, repairing leaky roofs, providing livelihoods, and maintaining a clean living environment. All of these together create a strong and enduring bond between the Party, the government, and the people.

Changing the model of government organization is an important step, but for that model to function effectively, the prerequisite remains the people's support. When social consensus is nurtured through concrete actions, faith in the new term will become even deeper and more enduring, fulfilling the nation's expectations for a new era, an era of national progress.
