Resilience from social consensus

The Provincial Party Committee Office Youth Union presented gifts to Phuc Yen Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

The numbers speak for themselves.

In July 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province and socio -political organizations simultaneously implemented many community engagement activities, from supporting people after the merger of administrative units to promoting patriotic emulation campaigns and movements. The "For the Poor" Fund accumulated over 333 billion VND, supporting 3,687 poor and near-poor households.

In addition, nearly 4,000 working days were mobilized to renovate and upgrade 21 km of rural roads; build and renovate 47 village cultural houses; install 36 power lines to "light up the countryside roads"; and plant more than 5,400 new trees.

These results are further highlighted by the "speaking" numbers, living proof of the spirit of compassion and solidarity of the people of Tuyen Quang : "Giot Hong Xua Tuyen Blood Donation Festival" at the end of July 2025, the Organizing Committee received 782 units of blood, bringing the total donation in the Red Journey in 2025 to nearly 1,400 units, reaching 200% of the plan, proving the compassionate and sharing heart of the people of Tuyen Quang.

As of August 11, 2025, the whole province has completed supporting 15,064 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households and policy families, reaching 100% of the plan; of which 13,848 houses have been completed and handed over for use, 1,216 houses are being urgently completed. Synchronous support programs from the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, sustainable poverty reduction programs, policies to support ethnic minorities and local movements have been effective, mobilizing people's strength, connecting all resources for the community, contributing to realizing the goal of settling down and improving the quality of people's lives.

On the front line, the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers is always clear. Lieutenant Colonel Ha Ngoc Thap, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Provincial Military Command, emphasized: “We always identify supporting and helping people as a regular political task, closely linked to the people. Over the past 5 years, 2,392 cadres and party members of the unit have directly joined the people in clearing, repairing and cleaning 1,680 km of inter-commune and inter-village roads; collecting and treating 86.6 tons of waste; planting 16 flower roads with a length of 14.16 km and more than 4,300 trees. These specific and practical actions have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the government and the people, contributing to strengthening the national defense posture, making the solidarity between the army and the people shine brighter and stronger”.

In Yen Son commune, comrade Nhu Thi Thu, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Nong Truong village, said that community strength is only sustainable when each person participates in discussions, reaches consensus and directly contributes to the common work. She shared: “As Party Cell Secretary, I always focus on internal solidarity, connecting with departments and branches, mobilizing social resources to build a cultural and progressive residential area. In the past 10 years, Nong Truong village has completed many rural infrastructure works such as concrete roads, cultural houses, drainage ditches, security power lines, flower roads, etc. with a total cost of hundreds of millions of VND contributed by the people. The average income of the village in 2024 will reach over 50 million VND/person/year; the Party Cell has successfully completed its tasks for many years, achieving the title of clean and strong”.

Connecting trust

The youthful energy and spirit of the youth have breathed new life into the “community-oriented” activities. Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Office, said: “Not only do we advise well on the work of the Youth Union, we also coordinate to organize many practical volunteer activities in the communes of Linh Phu, Tan My, Dao Vien, Phuc Yen (old)... from medical examination, free medicine, planting flower roads, giving gifts to families with meritorious services and poor students, to building bridges for the people, lighting up rural roads, and supporting materials for schoolyards. Each project and task is a bridge connecting the youth with the community.”

In Cay Xoan village, Thai Hoa commune, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Village Front Committee, is trusted by the people not only because of his enthusiasm but also because of his transparent and open way of working. He clearly informed about all tasks from mobilizing road construction, repairing cultural houses, contributing funds to supervising construction works, creating high consensus. He concluded: “If people see clearly that what they do is useful and meaningful, they will voluntarily participate. Social consensus is created from sincere mobilization and persuasion, based on trust and mutual respect, not by administrative orders.”

The spirit of “community service” is also nurtured by ordinary people who live beautifully and quietly contribute, such as Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huyen, Phu An residential group, Binh Thuan ward. Twice a week, if she is not busy, from early morning, she is present at An Vinh Pagoda with Buddhists to cook delicious, nutritious porridge to deliver to patients and their families at the Provincial General Hospital and the Traditional Medicine Hospital. In addition, she is also one of the very active faces participating in voluntary blood donation. She said: “I just think simply, if I am still healthy, I should spend time and energy to share with people in more difficult circumstances.”
In practice, “community-oriented” activities have become a valuable support in the period when the two-level government is being perfected. Without waiting for big policies or abundant resources, many localities have mobilized people’s strength from simple things: donating land to build roads, repairing leaky roofs, providing livelihoods, and keeping the living environment clean. All together create a strong, cohesive strength between the Party, the government, and the people.

Changing the government organization model is an important step, but for that model to operate effectively, the prerequisite is still the people's trust. When social consensus is nurtured through concrete actions, the belief in the new term will be deeper and more durable, just as the whole nation expects in a new era, an era of national growth.
