Change of living environment

In early August 2025, the area on the North bank of the Doi Canal, Chanh Hung Ward, has gradually changed. The dilapidated houses that were close together from Nguyen Duy Street to the Doi Canal have been demolished. The narrow areas with dilapidated, makeshift houses are now vacant lots, with a view of the South bank of the Doi Canal.

As a resident of the North bank of the Doi Canal for more than 30 years, Mr. Tran Huy Hoang (65 years old) expressed his excitement when the project started: “People here have been waiting for this day for a long time. I hope the project will be completed on schedule so that people can enjoy a green living environment as desired after the project is completed.”

In the process of moving to a new residence, Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Nga, a resident of Chanh Hung ward, shared that her family has lived along the Doi canal for more than 40 years, in a house of nearly 40 square meters , with 8 people. “Before, this area had a lot of mosquitoes, especially during the rainy season. Now the city has a policy of relocating to make this riverside area cleaner and more beautiful, we fully support it,” Ms. Nga confided.
