SZA (34), whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe, has earned Grammy nominations for Album of the Year for SOS , Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Kill Bill , and has been shortlisted in multiple genres including pop, rap and R&B.
The song Kill Bill was also nominated for Best R&B Performance, named after the Quentin Tarantino film.
Singer SZA leads the list of Grammy nominations
The Album of the Year nominees competing with SZA's SOS are Midnights by Taylor Swift, Endless Summer Vacation – Miley Cyrus, World Music Radio – Jon Batiste, the record – boygenius, Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd – Lana Del Rey, The Age of Pleasure – Janelle Monáe and GUTS – Olivia Rodrigo.
Victoria Monét follows SZA with seven nominations, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year, and Best R&B Song for On My Mama .
Phoebe Bridgers, in addition to her nomination for her performance with SZA on Ghost in the Machine , also received six other nominations as a member of boygenius, featuring Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus.
Rodrigo received six nominations, with her hit single Vampire nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Taylor Swift dominated the headlines this year with her sold-out Eras Tour and the musical film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour which chronicled her performances as well as her relationship with American football star Travis Kelce.
Although Taylor Swift did not top the list of nominations, her six nominations this year have given her a total of 52 nominations in her career. The singer has won the Grammy Awards 12 times.
Billie Eilish also received many Grammy nominations
Billie Eilish's " What Was I Made For?" is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Jon Batiste leads the male singer with six nominations including Record of the Year.
Pop icon Beyoncé won four Grammys last year, breaking the record for most career wins with 32. She also tied her husband, rapper Jay-Z, for the most career nominations (88).
The Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on February 4, 2024.
