THACO is also an experienced investor in managing and investing in the construction of key national projects, such as airports, seaports, transportation infrastructure projects, industrial parks, and urban areas.
After conducting research, the company found that the Cai Mep Ha Port Project, located in the Cai Mep port area in Tan Phuoc ward, Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the projects that aligns with the Group's investment strategy.
Therefore, the Corporation has researched and finalized the investment proposal dossier and approved the investor in accordance with regulations.
To expedite the project's implementation, THACO requests that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Finance provide attention, support, and early approval of the investment plan for the Cai Mep Ha port project.
According to the Master Plan for the Development of Vietnam's Seaport System for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the Cai Mep Ha port area (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) has been identified by the Government as one of the priority seaport projects for investment until 2030.
Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City considers the early implementation of investment in port facilities in the Cai Mep Ha area according to the plan to be necessary.
Previously, THACO Group also proposed participating in the investment study for Metro Line 2 (Tham Luong - Ben Thanh section; Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem section) and the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway line.
