Introduction: Ho Chi Minh City has a unique geographical location with the Saigon River stretching over 80km, running through the city. This is an advantage for economic development, building ports, urban services, facilitating the development of river buses, river tourism, as well as connecting waterway traffic with other provinces. Therefore, right after the project "Developing river embankments and riverside economic services in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2020-2045" was approved, Ho Chi Minh City has gradually "put on a new coat" of modernity, coolness and beauty for both banks of the Saigon River. The Saigon River has become a "river of commerce", not only a spiritual and natural "backbone", but also contains great economic potential, identified as one of the few important driving forces of change in Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.
