“More than 10,000 stories about a peaceful, beautiful and happy Vietnam have been recorded by authors through camera and video lenses. This year’s entries depict vivid perspectives on Vietnam’s land, people and culture. From the mountains to the plains, from cities to islands, each work represents the peaceful beauty and strong vitality of Vietnam.

The work "Sweet Happiness" by author Vu Dieu Hoa was awarded the Gold Medal at the competition.

For border guards, happiness is to work together to build, construct, and watch a prosperous, beautiful, and developed Vietnamese border. Athletes are happy when the national flag and colors appear on the international arena; doctors are happy to be able to cure many patients. The happiness of ethnic minorities is to preserve the traditional culture of the nation and promote it to everyone in the country and internationally, to study well to return to serve their homeland, and to see their homeland develop every day...

“Happiness is sometimes simply being yourself, it is the familiar moments that we sometimes unintentionally forget. The “Happy Vietnam” contest conveys the message to preserve and cherish such moments…” – Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized.

This year’s exhibition features 60 videos and 150 best photos, including 34 award-winning works. These works are not only the result of creativity but also demonstrate the patriotism and attachment to the homeland of the authors, including those living and working abroad.

According to the World Happiness Report 2024, Vietnam ranked 54th globally and is in the top 10 happiest countries in Asia. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that the "Happy Vietnam" contest is a clear demonstration of the spreading power of the spirit of happiness, going beyond the framework of a photography contest and becoming a symbol of sustainable and civilized development.
